As a first-time mom, I truly didn’t know where to begin when it came to making choices around childbirth. I am so grateful that I was able to work with Shannon early on in my pregnancy. She helped me feel incredibly prepared, not just with knowledge, but with confidence in my preferences and the decisions surrounding my ideal birth experience.

My labor was nothing short of amazing. Of course, not everything goes exactly as planned, but I still had the most pleasant, supported, and deeply cherished birth experience. Shannon advocated for me in every possible way and made me feel so comfortable and safe throughout the entire process. Every person who walked into our L&D room said, “It’s such a vibe,” and honestly, there is no better way to describe it.

I know without Shannon’s support, I would have felt so much more anxious about childbirth. Instead, I walked away feeling empowered and confident in my body, like I can truly do anything. Her care also helped kickstart a smooth recovery, allowing me to fully enjoy every moment with my newborn and my husband.

It is hard to put into words what a difference Shannon made in our lives after I gave birth. My postpartum journey was more difficult that I imagined it would be, but when I felt scared, overwhelmed and vulnerable, Shannon made me feel safe. She was able to show up for me in so many ways. She listened and helped me process big feelings, she provided guidance and encouragement when I felt lost, and created space for me to focus on my recovery by helping with the things that felt too big to tackle alone. As our postpartum doula, Shannon created stability during the biggest, hardest, most wonderful transition of our lives. We will forever be grateful for her!

I'm thrilled to write this testimonial and cannot recommend Shannon highly enough! As first time parents both my husband and I were nervous about the birthing process. After getting in touch with Shannon and from our very first meeting through zoom Shannon created a warm and supportive environment that made both of us feel empowered in our decision to do a natural unmedicated birth. During the days leading upto my labor Shannon provided personalized guidance such as exercises for labor, reviewing our birth plan and offering other practical tools that might help us during active labor. 

During labor, Shannon created a calming ambiance in our room.  Her calming presence, comfort measures and attendance to my needs helped me stay focused and empowered. Shannon made sure everything I listed on my birth plan was done accordingly and as a result helped me accomplish my goal to have a natural unmediacted birth. 

After birth, Shannon's check-ins and at follow up visit helped us with any concerns we had as first time parents. 

As a first time mom I am extremely touched and grateful for the care I received from Shannon and can't thank and recommend her enough.

Shannon was such a comforting and valuable part of my experience becoming a first-time mother, and I'm so grateful that my husband and I chose her when we were on the fence about having a doula at all. I almost certainly would have had either an episiotomy or a C-section without her encouragement and support during the labor and delivery process. She was incredibly responsive and attentive, even sitting on a floor for hours through the night to support me during earlier phases of labor, propping me up and talking me through the pushing phase for over 4 hours, and offering me so many options to soothe me as I went through the different stages of labor.

Would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a doula.

Shannon’s positive and supportive energy was extremely helpful before and during labor. Her ability to shift my and the energy in the room enabled me to center myself and bring focus and resolve to my labor. And make the experience fun along the way! She also did so well engaging with my partner as well as me. She created a team among us which made me feel supported and safe.
