As a birth doula, I understand that birth is not only a physically hard, it can also be emotionally wearing. I am committed to be 100% present to be sure you are getting the emotional support you and your partner need during this transformative time. 50% of the fee is due when we sign the contract and the other 50% is due by 37 weeks. My contract covers 4 prenatal visits, 24 hr on call availability from weeks 37-42, and 1 postpartum visit to help you process the birth as well as check in on you and your growing family. Beth was a source of wonderful comfort and support during my daughter's delivery! Her soothing tone was reassuring and she was a great encourager throughout my long labor and strenuous pushing. it was such a relief knowing she was focused completely on listening to me and helping me achieve a safe, peaceful and successful VBAC. Particularly helpful and practical were her breathing prompts, her reminder phrases ("relax your forehead" and "rest your head on the pillow"), and the way she kept a timeline log so she could remind me when it was time to reposition again. She also did a great job of involving my husband in the labor by recommending different support strategies and relaxation techniques for him to utilize with me. I felt confident that she would help me to speak up and advocate for myself if needed. Thank you, Beth! You helped make my birth experience wonderful and memorable!

Beth stepped in as a back-up doula with less than 2 weeks until my delivery. She was able to meet with me promptly, and help me handle the 'big emotions' that came with the last minute change. Her presence in the hospital was calm and comforting, despite our short acquaintance. She advocated for my preferences and stayed with me after delivery until I was ready to be on my own. I never felt alone or unsupported.
