Relevant volunteer or advocacy work

My birth work and passion for it started when I was postpartum with my second child. I bring valuable knowledge and personal experience as it relates to infertility, miscarriage, natural labor, epidural, shoulder dystocia, cesarean, and breastfeeding with an infant tongue tie. In 2020 I worked in the hospital setting as a Nursing Care Partner at Sentara Norfolk General, following certification as a Patient Care Tech from Sentara College of Health Science. In 2023, I moved into an Administrative Specialist position at outpatient mental health office. In 2024, I joined PSVA (Postpartum Support Virginia) as a volunteer in the Peer Mentor Program.

Fee Details

The 3 packages I offer include: $250 (La Prepared Birth); Doula services that encompass Child Birth Education, personalized birth plan development, self/partner advocacy, and support in preparing for the partner's role in the birthing process. $550 (La Birth Companion); This service will include on call support (37+ weeks), up to 18 hours of continuous labor support, comfort measures during labor, position support, birth partner support, 1-2 hours postpartum support directly after labor. $650 (La Birth Doula); A comprehensive package that combines the support of La Prepared Birth and La Labor Companion, along with 5-8 hours of postpartum care. A full-service support from birth doula. If you receive SNAP, MEDICAID, TANF I would be more than happy to discuss a sliding scale. If you are a single/teen mom I am willing to work on a sliding scale as well.
