Rachel was an incredibly important member of my birth team and invaluable resource before, during, and after labor.
When our home birth suddenly turned into a hospital transfer, where my husband and I initially felt some apprehension, having Rachel there to help us communicate our birth plan was a great comfort.
Throughout my 42 hour labor, her gentle guidance and overall intuition was spot on and I rarely felt like I needed to break concentration to communicate what I needed to feel supported.
My husband and I are so grateful we found her and thankful for the positive birth experience she helped us have!

My husband and I are so thankful we had Rachel as our doula! From the prenatal and postpartum visits, to labor and birth, she was so knowledgeable, kind and supportive! Laboring at home for as long as I did was only possible because of her. She really helped me through every contraction to manage the pain, while making sure baby was in the optimal position with labor positions.

We almost had to transfer during our birth, so we're also thankful we had Rachel there to help answer our questions to make the best decision.

We highly recommend her services as a doula!

I'm so thankful for Rachel! She has been my doula twice now. The first time was with my twins who came early at 32 weeks. My labor with them was so bizarre- I would labor hard for a few hours and then it would completely stop. It was back and forth like that for a couple of days and Rachel was so willing to come multiple times as we needed. She was so confident and positive which was very comforting to me and my husband.

This time around (single baby at 39 weeks) I had a 5 hour labor, but baby was OP for the majority of my labor. Rachel helped position me and apply pressure to my back. At one point, I remember hearing Rachel say, "yes, she would want that". I have no idea what that was all about! (I'm guessing perineal support while pushing) but I appreciated Rachel speaking up when I physically couldn't! She paid attention to my husband, made sure he got food and that he felt comfortable when he was supporting me. She also got a phenomenal video tour of the baby, umbilical cord and placenta to show our older children!

For our first baby, we didn't know what to expect in labor and delivery. Having Rachel there during the whole process was exactly the soothing presence, confidence building, reassurance I needed to get through the pains of labor. She made me feel safe and strong during contractions and definitely helped coach me through the most intense parts. I would recommend Rachel to all mothers, be it first time or not. She has a wonderful demeanor, is incredibly loving, and the experience to help make your birth experience what you want.

Rachel was the best to work with. From the start, she was very clear on her role in the delivery process. She met with us twice before giving birth and helped my Husband and I come up with a plan for delivery. We discussed our goals for the birth and she gave us good items to think about to help us achieve those goals. When it came time to deliver she was very responsive. She helped guide me in this process with pain management techniques, encouragement, and support. When my I decided to change my birth plan, she followed my decision. In the end, I was rushed to an emergency c section. Her support for my Husband was invaluable at that time. She helped him understand what was going on, but was able to be there for him as a friend would. After the surgery, she took photos and videos of my Husband and I meeting our son for the first time. This is what I am most grateful for. Due to the emergency, I was not in the room for when my son first met my Husband and I don't have clear memories of when I first met my son. These photos and videos allow me to go back and see what those first moments were like. She stayed with us for a little bit of time after the birth. Even after the birth she checked in on us and met with us postpartum. I am so thankful for Rachel. I truly could not have given birth with out her. She was the strong guiding force that I needed. She is so thoughtful, caring, and encouraging. Words cannot explain how much Rachel means to my Husband and I. She is truly one of a kind and I would recommend her to anyone giving birth.

Rachel was a wonderful support for me and my husband during the birth of our son. She is knowledgeable, caring, and has a great sense of humor. Her background as an L&D nurse makes her an exceptional doula, and gave us a lot more confidence navigating the birth of our first child and the hospital experience.

I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a doula! She really cares about the families she works with, and it shows.

Having an unplanned induction was not the birth experience I was planning for. Rachel helped us advocate for ourselves and supported us both beautifully. She was able to help me incorporate many parts of my desired birth plan and held my unexpected emotions with grace and understanding. She is someone you want by your side before, during, and after having a baby!
