I went into my pregnancy not knowing much about the role of a doula and how instrumental they can be in having a positive birth experience. My family and I were so lucky we connected with Daria! Daria is an incredible doula who helped guide us throughout my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experience. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula. 

During my pregnancy Daria met with me and my partners and helped us clarify what was important to us in the birth experience. She patiently answered all our questions, talked us through options, and pointed us to additional resources when we wanted to know more. It was important for us to have a doula who was comfortable working with queer & trans people in nontraditional relationships, and Daria was a perfect fit. As my pregnancy progressed they taught us different positions to labor in and also supported us emotionally when a gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia diagnosis caused me to have change my birth plan. 

At the hospital, Daria was outstanding. I truly feel like I could not have made it through my labor without her – she stayed with my family throughout my labor and delivery, helping me find effective ways to manage my pain in labor through movement and breath. Her calm intensity and clear and consistent support helped me focus through even the most painful contractions. She made sure we understood our options each time we had to make a decision during the labor process and supported us in advocating for ourselves. She took beautiful pictures of the delivery and the first time I met my baby. She has made sure we are settling in well now that we are home with our newborn. I really can’t begin to thank her for all of the ways she has supported our family in a beautiful transition into parenthood.

Daria was an incredible help throughout the pre- and postnatal visits, but especially during our baby girl's birth! She was knowledgeable, researched things for us that she wasn't sure about and got back to us in a timely manner. She asked good questions and gave great suggestions. She is easy to talk to and to build a connection with. We felt very comfortable with her sharing one of our most vulnerable moments! During birth she has been a rock star - she was so calm, helpful, active, never overstepping, and an addition to the birth I couldn't imagine not having there! And all that even though it was a very intense labor and a lot of firsts for all of us! She helped my husband and I physically, mentally, and emotionally! I highly recommend her and will reach out to her again when we might have a second baby coming :)

There are people who come into your life at just the right moment—and for me, that person was Daria Bennett. During a time when my original doula was not present or engaged in my care, I was navigating an extremely complicated pregnancy alone. I had been diagnosed with a short cervix early on, requiring a cerclage, and later was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Emotionally and physically, I was overwhelmed.

Then Daria came into my life—and everything changed.

From the moment she stepped in, Daria was present, attentive, and truly invested in my journey. She became the support I didn’t know I needed. She asked the questions I couldn’t, advocated for my wishes with grace and determination, and honored every detail of my birth plan, even when I couldn’t speak for myself. She was my voice of reason, my calming presence, and a true source of hope.

My labor was long—I was induced and spent two days trying to progress before ultimately requiring an emergency c-section due to an infection after my water was broken by the nurses. Through every moment of that intense and emotional experience, Daria never left my side. Her emotional, physical, and vocal support helped carry me through one of the most vulnerable and powerful moments of my life.

After my son was born, Daria continued to check in, making sure I was okay—not just physically, but emotionally. Her communication was consistent, her warmth was genuine, and her heart is unmatched. She quickly became more than a doula to me—she became family.

I am forever grateful that Daria was a part of this life-changing experience. Despite the challenges I faced during pregnancy, her presence made my entry into motherhood beautiful, supported, and unforgettable.

Thank you, Daria, for everything. You truly made a difference in my life.

Daria was  a key component in helping me to have the birth I wanted. Daria was truly empathetic, helpful, understanding, and caring. She gave me great coping mechanisms to implement later ! She decorated my hospital room in such a nice and zen way , which allowed me to focus on having my baby & not the cold environment around me.  My birth was long and painful, and she stayed by my side the entire time. I'm so thankful she stayed with me and volunteered to be there.

My husband and I were initially very hesitant about hiring a doula. The idea of inviting someone we didn’t know into such an intimate and personal experience made us uncomfortable at first. But from the moment we connected with Daria, she took the time to truly get to know us by asking thoughtful questions, listening to our concerns, and making it a priority to understand how to best support us as individuals and as a couple. Her calm, respectful, and compassionate approach quickly made us feel at ease and allowed us to trust the process in a way we never expected.

Even though this was Daria’s first time supporting a birth, you would never have known it. She went above and beyond by seeking mentorship and doing extensive research on areas where we had specific concerns, instead of simply saying she didn’t have experience. Her dedication, preparation, and professionalism made all the difference. When the time came, Daria was everything we didn’t know we needed ,offering the perfect balance of emotional support, physical comfort, and calm presence that helped make our experience smooth and memorable.

We are so grateful we chose to move forward with her as our doula and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will absolutely be recommending Daria to anyone in need of birth support and wouldn’t think twice about having her by our side for any future pregnancies or deliveries.
