Kayla supported us through the birth of our first daughter, providing pre-birth, labor, and postpartum support. She helped prepare my husband and me for what to expect during and after birth, and her pre-birth and baby care sessions helped us visualize the kind of experience we wanted. She was with us at the hospital throughout labor and checked in again postpartum about two weeks later. I truly cannot imagine going through this experience without her.

From the start, Kayla was a steady, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable presence. She prepared us mentally and physically, answered our questions honestly, and made both of us feel supported and informed.

During labor, her skills made a tangible difference. At one point, my contractions began spacing out and the medical team was preparing to start Pitocin. Kayla used positioning techniques that helped bring my contractions back naturally, allowing labor to continue without intervention. Just as importantly, she helped me feel confident advocating for what I wanted—she was a steady sounding board and a joy to have in our birthing space.

Postpartum, Kayla went far beyond what I expected. She came over during the intense early newborn days and was not only incredibly helpful, but also kept me company for an evening when I really needed it. That emotional support meant more than I can fully put into words.

My husband and I genuinely credit Kayla as a major reason I had such a positive birth experience. While my body was prepared, having her steady presence and support helped keep labor moving and helped me feel safe and confident throughout.

I would absolutely hire Kayla again and recommend her without hesitation. She may just starting out in her doula career, but she is exceptionally capable and has a deep love for the work. As a first-time mom, having her with us during this experience made all the difference!
