Holly was an absolute blessing throughout my pregnancy and birth. From the very start until the moment I delivered, she provided unwavering support and comfort. Her calming presence at the hospital was invaluable, especially when I was feeling anxious about the entire process. Holly's assistance and encouragement made me feel truly cared for and supported every step of the way.

My experience with Holly as my doula was in May of 2010.

Having Holly as my doula  was very helpful!  She was very patient and encouraging.  Holly has an extremely calm personality, which was super helpful during the stressful moments.  

My worst fears for childbirth were having to have a C-section due to complications/very long labor.  Also, I feared the possible side effects from the epidural. I also wanted my baby to be alert.  Because of that, I ended up not getting the epidural.  I didn't have any medicine for pain management, which was extremely difficult, but it was my choice.  I believe that  having Holly as my doula helped me to endure the pain better.  She gave me massages and was very encouraging.  It was reassuring to me that Holly had been through many births as a doula.  I am very pleased with the care that I received from Holly as my doula!

I chose Holly as my Doula because I really did appreciate her kind approach. She is also very calm and soft spoken which was important to me in keeping calm and steady throughout the labor.

Most valuable to me during my labor was Holly’s soft, calm voice guiding me through the immense chaos that was going on. She would remind me how to breathe during each contraction and staying calm. My mind often wandered or focused too much on the contractions when all I had to do was breathe and stay calm. This also helped me stay in control.

Just having a gentle touch from someone who truly understands the process of labor and birth gave me the peace of mind that everything was going to go well. My husband and I didn’t realize how much help we would actually need at our birth and were very happy to have Holly’s help and support as labor was long and had some unexpected complications. She was an advocate for when I didn’t know how to speak up or just needed help.

The unexpected perk of Holly’s support was that she stayed awake and available the whole time! Her support was invaluable to us both, giving my husband time to rest and be ready for the birth!

The most valuable thing to me about Holly's Doula care was: her physical presence and invaluable guidance for this beautiful transition in our lives. Her background and

experience as a Doula, and her own personal childbirth experience was what stood out to my husband and I when we chose her to be our Doula in the birth of our first child. She made herself available and ready to help with timely information. The love she has for her work in life was also obvious. Her profession is:

LOVE for people, that is PRICELESS.

(Baking chocolate chip cookies from scratch for us when we settled in at home with our new baby was so thoughtful) 

Since this was our first baby, our biggest worry was of the unknown of childbirth. Having Holly there as our Doula for moral and physical support in the days before, during and after our baby's birth gave us peace of mind beyond our expectations. The comfort and tranquility of having an experienced hand for anything we needed is something we will deeply prized forever. I would definitely recommend having Holly as your Doula to my friends! "You will be forever Grateful!"

We will always and forever treasured that wonderful time of having an experienced and caring person as her by our side in our lives.
