Post a testimonial for Rachel Katyl

Rachel was a wonderful support for me when I was pregnant with my second child! She was great about checking in via texts to make sure I felt prepared at all steps of the journey, and she always followed up with resources to help with my questions and challenges. She supported my individual preferences for labor and delivery, and during my time in the hospital she was a comforting presence. Although I was lucky enough to have a smooth delivery, I was glad to have the peace of mind that Rachel would be there to support me if the labor became complicated.

We really enjoyed working with Rachel to support our family. Rachel is a very caring and enthusiastic doula who listens to your needs as a client without pushing any personal agenda or beliefs. She was very reliable and supportive and helped us talk through/create a strong birth plan that was really essential and helpful during the birthing process. The process of talking through what we did and did not want ahead of the schedule c-section empowered me to feel more comfortable the day of the procedure to really emphasize my needs. Even if things didn't go "as planned" in every case, I felt better knowing that I had made my desires known to my medical team. Having someone to talk through "what to expect" is truly essential in my opinion, for the birthing person. I recommend having Rachel as your doula to help you feel more comfortable with all aspects of the process. I am a second time mom and knew somewhat to expect but having her services as a first time mom would be even more important! My experience the second time around (with a doula) was far superior to my experience the first time around (without a doula!) and I was able to have a much better birthing experience with basically no emotional trauma which was much different than the first time. Thank you Rachel for all of your help!
