I completed my doula certification in March 2024, but my journey toward this work has been a lifelong education. From a young age, I felt a deep calling to support individuals through the profound experiences of life and death. I am particularly passionate about serving birthing people who face significant challenges, including those with limited support, financial barriers, or substance use issues, as a harm reduction doula. Having attended two births since my training, along with several prior experiences, I bring a blend of compassion and practical knowledge to my practice. My background in family planning and my years of experience as a technician in a hospital setting have equipped me with the skills to navigate various environments with ease. I am comfortable collaborating closely with medical staff to ensure the best possible support for my clients. I pride myself on being perceptive and attuned to the subtle shifts in energy around me, allowing me to anticipate and respond to your needs with minimal communication. My commitment is to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space for all birthing people, fostering an environment where they can feel truly heard and cared for.
If you are unsupported and cannot afford a doula, please reach out to see if I have availability to take on a pro bono client.

I want to cry writing this as I reflect on my birth story and labor experience with my son. Deanna is the most comforting and maternal soul. Immediately upon meeting her I felt so comfortable sharing every piece of myself and my desires for my pregnancy and birth and boy did she help me accomplish it all. Deanna was in the trenches of labor with me, helping me cope and tap into the deepest part of my womanhood to give birth to my first baby. Her support made ALL the difference in how I was able to progress through contractions, and ultimately have an unmedicated birth. I truly feel like she was my secret sauce, my insurance policy when my own strength gave out, and an incredible presence to have in the delivery room. She thought about things that would have never crossed my mind to ask my midwife, helped create a beautiful environment in the hospital room, and took over when the only thing I could focus on were my contractions. She worked so effortlessly and beautifully with my fiance and mom who were also in the room, allowing them to support me and knowing when to get involved and when to give space. Thank you so much Deanna. Our little family is so blessed to have you in our lives forever now :)

Deanna was a wonderful doula and I am so grateful for her support. She met with us during the pregnancy to talk through what we wanted for our birth and how she could best support us, and provided us with information and resources. For the birth itself, she did a great job of supporting me as the birthing parent, and also supported my wife as the birth partner. She has the kind of presence that is calming and allows you to be your most vulnerable self with her, which is such a gift during labor! She was knowledgeable about labor and supported us in our decisionmaking, striking the right balance of listening, following our lead, and offering knowledge and guidance when it was helpful. Immediately after our baby was born and needed to go to the peds table for evaluation, my wife was able to go with our baby knowing that I was in good hands with Deanna. Even in the hours after our baby was born, Deanna continued quietly taking the initiative to help us in so many ways, allowing us to just totally focus on our new baby. Having Deanna as our doula was the best choice for our family and we are so grateful to her.
