Elissa is a wonderful postpartum doula. She is extremely professional and personable. She always arrives on time, if not early, and comes well-prepared. She is always ready to check in about priorities and dig into tasks. She'll help with small tasks like laundry and dishes, picking up groceries nearby, baby-wearing to give mom and dad a little break, and even other projects that you may need help with like organizing or putting things away. She also was super helpful with sharing tips and tricks and/or helping us find information along the way. We felt so supported and were actually able to get on top of things during our postpartum experience in no small part to her weekly visits. We are so thankful and would highly recommend her to others looking for postpartum doula support!

I also wanted to add to my previous review that she was *immediately* trustworthy enough to take care of our little baby while we slept, she gave my neglected cats good pets and care, and she would mask up in our home since we hadn't gotten baby's vaccines yet.

Elissa was so great to have as our postpartum doula! She would talk to our baby in a very soothing and gentle way, she proactively checked in if there were additional things she could help with around the house (light housekeeping/tidying up, making sure I was fed when I was breastfeeding), and she was always always on time - in fact, early! She was also knowledgeable about various parenting things and also pointed us to helpful resources with babywearing/baby's sleep. I'm also grateful that she was happy and willing to learn how to use cloth diapers. We really appreciated having her help us with our baby and ourselves until he was ready to transition to daycare. Thank you!!

We had Elissa as our postpartum doula for 6 weeks and are so happy to have worked with her.
From the very beginning, she provided valuable support to our family after we returned home from the hospital feeling exhausted. It was during the holiday season, and she made every effort to accommodate our schedule and provided the support we needed. She would discuss the priorities of the day with us and ensured we could get some much-needed rest while she cared for the baby.
Elissa is very caring and gentle with the baby, and we always felt reassured when she is around. She also gets along really well with our toddler, which is a bonus for us. Her professionalism, kindness make her a great companion during such a busy time.
Thanks to her, we felt supported and well-cared for. We are so grateful for her help and highly recommend Elissa to any families seeking a postpartum doula.

To have Elissa as my doula was one of the best decisions for my post-partum care.
I had a phone interview with Elissa during my 36th pregnancy week, where Ellisa suggested a home-visit to get familiar with my surroundings.
Elissa got on board the second day after birth and stayed with us until the end of the second week. She was supportive, detail-oriented, and took good care of my son.
A glimpse of Elissa’s nursing responsibilities included sterilizing feeding bottles, putting my son to sleep, and bathing, etc. Elissa completed every infant-care chore with kindness and tenderness. While she was feeding my son, she talked gently to him.
As first-time parents, my husband and I lacked experiences and Elissa reminded us of all the missing knowledge. She reminded us that the bottle-nipples we were using were not designed for newborns. She also taught us how to identify the cues for hunger. We also learned belly massage tricks to prevent gassy from her.
After birth, simple house seemed drudgy to me. Since my husband was taking care of the newborn, he was unable to finish all the house chores and Elissa offered help. Elissa swept floors, cleaned our dishes, and dumped trash for us.
I was grateful that Elissa helped out in a pinch while my family was vulnerable after my birth. I believe Elissa would be a trustworthy assist to any family needs necessary newborn care.

Elissa supported us reliably and with joy and love after our baby was born. Although we delivered in a birth center, we unexpectedly had to go to the hospital afterward. Elissa came to the hospital and held our baby while we attempted to get some shut eye and brought with her a sense of calm and helped us to navigate this new environment with a small baby. Once we came home, Elissa made frequent visits to help with the overwhelming tasks of daily living (such as warming up food, loading the dishwasher and doing the laundry) while also helping us to learn about techniques for holding and feeding our new baby and for taking care of ourselves. Elissa's heart is so committed to supporting families to welcome in a new baby and she does so with deep kindness, respect, and love. We can't recommend Elissa's post partum doula services enough!

We were so glad to work with Elissa! She was kind, helpful, and very flexible. From folding laundry, to helping me choose an appropriate baby carrier, to setting up a sitz bath, to making food, helping me refine my closet from pregnancy to flattering nursing clothes, talking about my birth story, and changing diapers, she was ready and willing to do it all. We were very appreciative to have her support in those early postpartum days. It really reduced our stress levels to know we would have her support. Thanks Elissa and good luck.

Elissa was our postpartum doula for baby number 2. After a rough postpartum with baby 1, we knew we'd need more help. Elissa went above and beyond to support us in a variety of ways which was pivotal in our positive postpartum experience.
Elissa was highly communicative and made sure to check in before our sessions to prepare for the specific ways she could supoort. She arrived to each session in a timely manner with her calm presence. She brought nourishing meals and provided housework such as cleaning and laundry. She held our baby so we could get much needed sleep and even played with our toddler!
In addition, Elissa offered gentle support and advice through the inevitable challenges and provided simple, data driven solutions when hit with mastitis.
Elissa's support was truly life changing and allowed us to heal and have the postpartum experience all families deserve. I would 100% recommend!
