My name is Sari Gubar and I am a recent graduate of the Mamaglow doula homeschool course, and a current doula in training, who is excited to continue my education in the field. As a hardworking, passionate, and empathetic person, I believe I have a lot to offer clients. I love the outdoors, mindfulness, creating art, joyful cooking and movement, and recently graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies, with a focus in social justice and biology, as well a studio art minor. I am educated in herbalism, and horticulture, and would love to bring that element of holistic wellness into my work. In addition, I have great respect and awe for the unique beauty of each pregnancy. Because of this uniqueness, I understand that each pregnant person requires a wide range of support, emotional, informational, and physical, and am prepared to work hard to consistently provide that. Finally, I believe in the importance of health equity, and of being aware enough to push back against racism, classism, and all bias in the healthcare system. Although I am quite new to the practice I can offer hard work, diligence, passion, and knowledge that I am excited to share.
Fee Details
Due to my inexperience and the importance of making doula support accessible - the fee is sliding scale, between $150 and $1000, which includes two meetings prior to the birth to share knowledge, resources, and practices, as well as ask and answer questions. It also includes full attendance, support and advocacy during birth, and unlimited texting and emailing.
