Attends hospital births? All Hospitals
Of my own 8 births, one needed to be at a hospital. I was able to navigate there and have the birth I desired thru effective communication, respect and good planning. I want to help do that for you and your family! I am here to help you have the birth you desire, and will help support you and navigate with you through your hospital birth experience. Whether your plan is to birth all natural, or with the help of drugs or other medical procedures. I'll help give you Evidence Based Birth information so you can make good informed decisions, and I'll be there through it all to give you continuous emotional, educational and physical support.

Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers
I am a trained Birth Assistant at a local Birth Center, so I know very well about giving supportive care at birthing centers and love working with midwives.

Attends home births? Any Home Birth
Having had 7 homebirths myself, I am very familiar with what it takes to have a successful homebirth. At this time I do not give support at "Unassisted" births.

Relevant volunteer or advocacy work

I have been a "birth nerd" for almost 30 years now! I have personally had 7 homebirths working with 4 different midwives and doulas. I had 1 hospital birth that by the words of my midwife, "Transformed her relationship with that hospital" and the nurses were saying, " That's how every birth should be!" My love of all things birth led me to help Mama friends over the years and I eventually became a doula. I also work with midwives at a local Birth Center as a Birth Assistant which gives me valuable training and wisdom. In addition I partner with my husband, Wade, who has been a L.M.T. for over 30 years, and he offers clients prenatal/postnatal massage and infant massage as well as Craniosacral Therapy. In addition to giving massages, he can teach your partner how to massage you and teach you both how to massage your baby. I work closely with various professionals in the birth world and can recommend a quality Lactation Consultant, Midwife, OB, Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, Placenta Encapsulator and Photographer...to name a few. I am constantly studying and taking new classes related to birth services always wanting to improve my skills and training. I have certification in Doula training, Breastfeeding Support and Postpartum Support. I offer the use of a Tens Unit for pain and can offer a water tub for your water birth needs. I am also certified in Neonatal Resuscitation. I would be honored to meet with you and be apart of your pregnancy and birth!

I recently found Jenn after having my fifth baby! I felt like I was completely drowning between the house, my other kids, dinners and now my new bundle of joy. Jenn was my saving grace. Jenn helps me with feeding my baby, changing her, watching her, helps with my other kids, helps with the house and even helps with my dinners! Jenn allows me TO TAKE A SECOND FOR MYSELF and as a mother of five those seconds are rare. She has allowed me to recover not only physically, but mentally as well. I was not only impressed with her doula/birthing knowledge but also her knowledge on everything to do with kids and life.  I would 100% recommend Jenn! I couldn't have done it with out her!!

Having Jennifer present during my delivery was a dream come true and made my view on birthing a whole, new wonderful, and empowering experience. Both my husband and I didn’t realize how much we needed her.

Jennifer was very professional, very considerate, and always asking questions if I was comfortable with anything. If I wanted the room lights dimmed. To set up a diffuser with an essential oil. If I was warm enough. Or! If I wanted something to snack on. (she brought me some treats which was very sweet of her!)

She helped explaining to us what the nurses and doctors were referring to me so that I may understand better on coming up with my final decision on allowing and what not to allow for myself and my newborn child. Which we really much appreciated. When going through transitioning Jennifer always asked if I wanted to try different birthing positions and reminded me that I can always move around and switch it up to which I felt most comfortable and confident with.

Overall Jennifer was a blessing to us and we are very grateful to have her presence at our birth. She was very attentive, compassionate, positive, collected, and never stopped encouraging me that I could get through all the contractions, because this is what women are capable of doing. Thanks to her supportive words and assisting my husband on showing him hands-on to help me go through each contraction, I was able to give birth to our sweet baby girl completely unmedicated.

Jen will always be part of our birth story. We are so grateful for her assistance. She knew what pressure points to hit to help my wife with her labor pain. She was also encouraging, positive, and compassionate throughout the entire process, always checking to see if my wife was comfortable. We are so grateful for her wisdom, attention to detail, and calming presence at our birth.
