?????????? The Doula Every Mom Deserves
Robyn is truly exceptional
From the very first Zoom call, I knew Robyn was the one. We clicked instantly she was warm, easy to talk to, and made communication feel effortless. I immediately felt a sense of comfort and safety with her, and I remember thinking, “She’s the doula I want by my side when it’s time.”
Sure enough, I went into labor the day before our scheduled in-person meeting. I called her, and without hesitation, she dropped everything and headed straight to my home. She stayed on speaker with me during the drive, coaching me through my breathing and helping me stay calm through each contraction.
The moment she arrived, her presence brought an overwhelming sense of peace. While I labored in the bath, she supported me physically, emotionally, and mentally nonstop until my baby arrived. I was honestly amazed by the level of care, dedication, and intention she put into every single moment. She made me feel safe, supported, and truly cared for. I can’t thank her enough.
If you’re searching for the right doula and feeling unsure or overwhelmed, let me save you the time: she is the one. Calm. Patient. Relatable. Comforting. Dedicated. Everything you want and more.
Thank you again, Robyn, for the incredible service and love you brought into my birth experience.

Our family got orders to MD and we moved to here during the holidays in 2023. We didn't know many people here nor had built any connections/ support for the baby we were expecting for 2024. I was connected to NBS through another doula who wasn't available for my due date. Long story short, it was a HUGE blessing because that is how we found Robyn Stewart! :). Our baby girl was our 4th baby being born. I kinda knew what to expect but this time was different, the military hospital is about 45 mins from us. Which was a huge plus for us! Because she was able to access and meet us at the hospital because she had worked there before (she is a veteran/ with base access) so if you are looking for a doula with base access, she is your girl! :)
We live 45mins (without traffic) from Fort Belvoir around 11pm I started having contractions, they were very strong to the point that I wasn't able to speak. I called her and told her that I was having contractions every 2-3 mins, one thing I did mention to her was that my water haven't broke yet so I wasn't sure if continue to labor at home or if I should start making my way to VA. Thankfully she told me to go to hospital and that she was going to meet me there. By the time my husband and I got to the hospital I was already 7cm. Why am I mentioning this? Is because my water always breaks (or at least that's what I thought) before strong contractions/ I transitioned. It was so good to have her wisdom and skill. I got there around 12am and my baby was born on 11/8/2024. The process was quick (thank God!) and my water broke few minutes before I delivered my daughter. Robyn stayed extra time to help me with breastfeeding as I was doing skin to skin. Which the first latch is always the hardest for me but I am very thankful for her help and her support! We loved her so much that I am looking on having her again to help us welcome our 5th one due on 4/26.

I hired Robyn for my second pregnancy, because my first delivery did not go smoothly and I was hoping to have a VBAC. From the beginning, Robyn was a very easy to work with and incredibly supportive. During her prenatal visit, we talked about stretches, exercises, and ways that we could increase the chances of a successful VBAC. During labor, her kind and calming presence was a huge help. She helped me gauge which interventions were necessary and ultimately supported me in having a calm, successful VBAC. I highly recommend Robyn to anyone looking for a fantastic doula!

Robyn was an integral part of my birthing journey. Her calming presence and extensive knowledge made me feel extremely supported pre and postpartum. In the lead up to the birth, I sincerely appreciated how Robyn effectively communicated with my husband and I, as well as as how seamlessly she integrated with the hosptial staff. I would recommend Robyn without a second thought to any and all expecting mothers.

Robyn was wonderful to work with, and she made such a difference in our birth experience! The one-on-one birth prep class was invaluable in that it allowed us to review my history and birth preferences, create a plan, and learn techniques to prep for labor, control my breathing, and positions to ease pain. Leading up to delivery, Robyn was extremely supporting and communicative, much helped ease my mind. When I went into labor spontaneously in the middle of the night, she was immidiatly available and ensured we had the best support. She is extremely knowledgeable and kind with a very calming presence that made such a difference. We are are grateful to her and cannot recommend her services enough!

We are beyond thankful to have had Robyn’s support during our labor and delivery. She was absolutely fantastic, and her experience shone through every step of the way during what became a long process spanning many hours. Robyn was incredibly thoughtful, anticipating both my needs and my husband's without us even having to ask.
When the decision was made to proceed with a C-section, Robyn immediately asked if she could be in the OR with us. The nurses responded that if there was anyone they wanted present, it was her—and that says everything about the respect and trust she inspires. Her background as a nurse was invaluable, allowing her to work seamlessly and collaboratively with the hospital care team.
After delivery, Robyn was right there to help us with skin-to-skin contact and guide me in latching my baby. Something I truly believe made a meaningful difference in our breastfeeding journey. We felt cared for, reassured, and truly supported the entire time. Robyn’s presence made such a difference, and we are so grateful she was part of our birth experience.

The best decision I made this entire pregnancy was hiring Robyn. I intend on hiring her again for every future pregnancy, and to recommend her to all of my friends. I don't know what we would have done without her. Robyn was immensely helpful from day 1. I often had questions about what was normal, and she always responded quickly and fully. I was so thankful to have access to her vast knowledge, especially when it was after hours for my OBGYN. When I had complications Robyn stayed calm and grounded me. She has such a soothing voice that if she had recordings reading poetry, I would listen to it to fall asleep. During the actual delivery Robyn was crucial for my sanity. The nurses at Fairfax Inova were so busy they only came in for about a minute every hour, and mostly just when we called on them. Robyn was there just for us though, and thank goodness. The machines often beeped to say something was wrong. Usually it was just that something needed to be adjusted or that the machine needed paper. I didn't know though, and would have freaked out if Robyn weren't there to interpret it. Her background as a nurse was vital for this. Sometimes the baby's heart rate lowered (normal but scary) and Robyn knew how to adjust my position to get the heart rate back up. My favorite part of the experience was Robyn's massages. Her massage during the contractions was better than any professional massage I have received. At the post delivery meeting Robyn provided so much helpful advice for caring for the baby as well as myself. All in all, I could not have imagined a way for Robyn to be more helpful. I highly recommend Robyn for anyone's pregnancy and delivery!

Although I wasn’t able to have Robyn present during my birth due to a planned C-section, her support throughout my pregnancy and postpartum made a lasting impact. Robyn was consistently thoughtful, knowledgeable, and encouraging, her presence helped me feel more empowered and informed every step of the way.
The monthly classes NBS offered were one of my favorite parts of preparing for birth. I always walked away with valuable insights, feeling more confident and connected to the journey ahead. Even after the birth, Robyn checked in with care and compassion, and I truly felt supported during that important transition into new parenthood.
I’m so grateful for Robyn’s guidance and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, grounded, and deeply supportive doula.

I truly don’t know how we would have gotten through labor and delivery without Robyn. From the beginning, she brought such a calming, supportive presence that helped me feel safe, informed, and empowered. During labor, she was everything I needed—gentle when I needed reassurance, strong when I needed encouragement, and always one step ahead in anticipating what would help me physically and emotionally. She supported both me and my husband with such care and confidence, and I felt so held throughout the entire process. Robyn was an essential part of our birth experience, and I’m endlessly grateful for her.

I can't recommend Robyn highly enough. She was an absolute rock during my long labor. From the moment she arrived, she brought a calming presence and deep expertise that made all the difference. She guided me through every stage, rotating me into different positions that truly helped move labor along, and explained everything clearly and patiently, answering all my questions with so much knowledge and care.
Her support—both physical and emotional—made me feel empowered and cared for during one of the most intense experiences of my life. Thanks to her, I felt more in control and more confident every step of the way. If you're looking for someone who's not only experienced but also genuinely compassionate and deeply committed to your well-being, Robyn is the one you want by your side.

Working with Robyn as my birth doula was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. Robyn’s calm, knowledgeable, and compassionate support made all the difference during my son’s birth. From helping us navigate a medically necessary induction to guiding us through medication decisions, her guidance brought clarity and comfort at every step.
After I received an epidural, Robyn tirelessly repositioned me throughout the night to keep labor progressing—and her encouragement helped me avoid the guilt of straying from my original birth plan. Because of her support, I felt reassured that we made the best decisions for our family in the moment. I’m incredibly grateful that I was able to have a safe delivery and avoid a c-section, and I truly believe Robyn’s support played a major role in that outcome. I can’t recommend her enough!

I highly recommend Robyn as a doula! It was by far the best money we spent. She was such a wonderful calming and knowledgeable presence during the birth of my son as a first time Mom. I had a VERY long labor and Robyn assured me that my body was doing what it needs to do and not to stress how long it was taking. She moved me into positions to help things progress (I would have been lost without her guidance on this!). There were 3 shift changes at the hospital while I was laboring and it gave me such peace of mind to have Robyn there as a constant! When it came time to deliver, Robyn gave me wonderful instructions on how to push and she was the best cheerleader. Had she not been there, I think the pushing would have taken so much longer and possibly resulted in a C section (which I very much wanted to avoid). She helped get my baby latched right away in the delivery room - and I think that’s what kick started a great nursing journey between me and my baby. By the end of the delivery, it felt like Robyn had been friends with my husband and I for a long time.

Robyn was absolutely amazing and I am so grateful she was a part of my birth! My birth did not go as expected with a last minute induction but Robyn was a great resource the whole time and especially once she showed up to the hospital. She helped both me and my partner get through birth and contributed significantly to our magical experience! I cannot thank her enough for everything she did and would recommend her to anyone who wants a relaxing, nurturing, loving environment for their birth!!

My labor and delivery experience with Robyn was literally picture perfect! I'd recommend her a hundred times over and would love her to be there through my next pregnancy and birth. She answered all my questions through my pregnancy and even let me rant to her about not-so pregnancy related things lol! She helped me move positions every 30 minutes during my labor with an epidural and I think that contributed to a quick and effective delivery. I really needed an extra person to run through scenarios with when the hospital team wanted to start pitocin and I was unsure. Robyn helped me make educated decisions without feeling pressured in either direction. Her experience as a former L&D nurse shined through and I felt safe, supported, and heard through the whole process.

It is difficult to describe how much of a positive influence Robyn had on our birth preparation and experience. In preparing, Robyn took the time to understand my partner's needs and desires and put her mind at ease, but also helped me as a support person understand how I could be most effective in helping my partner.
When it came time to labor, Robyn helped guide us through laboring at home, prior to the hospital. The books and prep classes are only so effective when the emotions and fatigue of the day sets in. Robyn helped keep my partner at ease the entire time.
At the hospital, having Robyn with us was like having the best nurse in the hospital completely dedicated to us. Her prior experience as an L&D nurse was very apparent. Her doula training added an entirely other dimension to the experience that made it as positive as it could be despite the trials and tribulations that come with child birth. In addition to being a great team member with us, she worked seamlessly with both sets of nurses and the L&D doctor. One thing I hadn't anticipated was how much better of a support person she made me.
I highly recommend Robyn as a team member on your birth journey.

Robyn was an incredible doula for my wife Kendra, our newborn daughter, and me. Her kindness, care, and support made a world of difference throughout the entire experience. Robyn was always there for us, whether we had a question that needed a quick text or call, or when we needed her in the delivery room. She helped us navigate the challenges of labor with such grace and reassurance—it truly made all the difference. As a husband and father, Robyn’s presence made me feel more prepared and at ease during the pregnancy, labor, and birth process, turning what could have been overwhelming into something we could embrace together. We are so grateful for everything she did for us. Anyone who has the privilege of having Robyn as their doula will be incredibly fortunate!

Robyn stepped in last second since my doula was sick. She immediately started to comfort me with massage and got to know me which helped distract from contractions. She was so soothing and available to me and my husband. She helped me change into different positions to help baby out, holding my legs and using encouragement to power me through. We could not imagine this experience without her and are forever grateful that she came to help us through! You are in thoughtful, kind hands with Robyn.

Where do I even begin. I was nervous about this whole process and I didn't even know what to "look for" in a doula because people say doula and myself have to be a "good match" for the experience to be good. I didn't know what that meant till Robyn and i met through zoom. She was so compassionate and knew exactly what to say ( she just knew that I was anxious about the process) she was never late in texting me or left me hanging with all the questions I had throughout my pregnancy. She checked on me frequently and developed relationship with me that I didn't feel "awkward" when we met in person for the first time (when I was in labor). She is gentle but isn't afraid to speak up when it's necessary for her client. She goes over all the pros and cons of choices that I might need to make during my labor. She is compassionate but doesn't let emotion cloud her judgement when it comes to helping me make the right/best decisions. This is getting way to long but to summarize it let's just say my husband said Robyn is worth every penny and we would love to have her at our baby's first birthday party as she was a big part of it and I would want my baby to know who helped him to be delivered safely into this world!!
