I'm so glad we chose to work with Fiona for the birth our our first baby. I was really nervous beforehand about the whole experience and felt like I wanted someone by my side who I could trust to help me have the best experience possible and Fiona achieved that. She met with us several times before birth and explained so much that I never would've known otherwise and that really helped put me at ease. She made the room calming and gave great pushing tips during birth as well. I am so glad I found Fiona and I highly encourage everyone to consider having a doula for (at least) their first birth!

Where to begin… Fiona is not just a Doula, she’s a difference maker. The constant support throughout my pregnancy and birth was unlike what I thought a doula experience would be. Fiona is incredibly knowledgeable, comforting, and really gives off such a peacefulness that is truly amazing, especially in such a vulnerable time. Her communication throughout pregnancy was always clear, encouraging, and grounded. She helped with recommendations for physical therapists and IBCLCs that made such a difference in my preparation and recovery. She also provided me with the tools and techniques to cope with pain and contractions naturally, which made such a difference during labor & birth. I had the birth experience of my dreams and it was truly made possible by her presence and expertise. She knew how to get me to progress through birth, support me emotionally, and change my husband’s mind on the purpose of a doula! Finding a doula who not only was confident in unmedicated birth but also VBACs was not something I thought would be easy, and I am so, so grateful for landing with her. Fiona, you’ve made such a difference in my life and my husband’s, thank you for everything!

I hired Fiona because I am a first time mom who was hoping to have an unmedicated birth and knew that having someone who could guide me into different birthing positions to progress labor would make me and my husband less nervous during labor. I ended up having to get an induction and can attest that having Fiona there was part of the reason it did not end in a c-section. Throughout my entire 36 hour labor, Fiona assured us both of what was normal, and while I did end up getting an epidural toward the end of my labor, she helped me delay it for as long as I could. I would definitely hire Fiona again as she not only helped us during l&d, but made us feel comfortable both before and after labor and delivery.

If you’re looking for a doula for your birth, you can stop your search right here. From the initial contact at 33 weeks on DoulaMatch, the prenatal visits that included getting to know us and the birth plan, to the actual birth and postpartum, Fiona is the doula for you. Her attention to detail, determination to give you the birth you desire, and the compassion of someone who loves what they do, was unmatched and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to support my husband and I during a tough 24 hour, unmedicated back only labor at a birth center. She was there every step of the way starting at 2 AM, both physically supporting me in different labor positions when the contractions seemed never ending and progress was stalling, and mentally as I was exhausted and felt that it would never result in my sweet baby girl. Fiona was/is so professional working with my midwives when labor stalled and continuing to suggest ways for me to progress the labor leading the way to know all of my options, making informed decisions, and reminding me of my desires to continue unmedicated even when exhaustion was setting in. I never once felt unsupported or a burden with how long it took and felt that if Fiona had not been there supporting me and helping me along in the manner she did, I would have never had the experience and overall exceptional birth I had. Her guidance prenatally, during the birth, and postpartum have made me feel less alone and, with the right people by my side, amazing things can happen and the birth of my first was nothing short of a testament to Fiona’s skills and love for what she does. She will forever be apart of my daughter’s story and we are grateful!

We were so happy to have Fiona as our doula! She was an integral support system during my pregnancy and birth process. Her clear guidance, strategies and reassurance during the different stages of labor process really empowered me to embrace my birthing experience. I highly recommend Fiona's doula services for emotional, physical and educational support. You will not regret having a doula that nurtures and truly advocates for you!

We moved to Houston when I was 38 weeks pregnant (first pregnancy). My goal was an unmedicated birth in a hospital and Fiona was essential to helping me achieve that goal. Fiona accommodated our short timeline (we had baby at 39 weeks!), created our birth plan based on our wants, educated us about what to expect at the hospital (questions we'd be asked, who would be coming in and out of the room), and coached me through the labor. Fiona's postpartum visit was the conversation I didn't know I needed. She reminisced the labor and delivery day, listened to my postpartum struggles, and provided local resources (postpartum mom group, lactation consultants, postpartum doulas) which saved me the mental bandwidth of finding those resources on my own. Highly recommend Fiona as your doula if you want someone advocating for you and supporting you through this special time of bringing your baby into the world!

Our experience with Fiona was nothing short of exceptional! Despite taking a birth prep course with our first pregnancy we quickly forgot the information learned once labor got stronger, exhaustion crept in & we lost control of it all. We knew we would want a doula on our team for our second child to help advocate for us and keep us focused on our goal of a VBAC. I loved the information she had broken down with each meeting we had prior to labor. Bonus, she came to our house. The meetings felt more comfortable and personal that way and by the time I went into labor we felt ready thanks to her. The day I went into labor she answered all questions and offered suggestions for me to try since I wanted to labor at home as long as possible.*successful* Fast forward to her meeting us at the hospital we felt immediate comfort having her there with us. We stayed on track of our birth plan and she made sense of everything that was going on. She helped with pain management, helped us avoid too many unwanted interventions, helped with positioning and had so many more tricks up her sleeve. In the end, I did not get my VBAC but I did get to experience a more comfortable labor and I’m proud of that. Fiona made our experience completely different for the better than our first child’s and we’re forever thankful.

Fiona was a wonderful support throughout the pregnancy and during labor. Unfortunately my pregnancy and labor did not go as originally planned but Fiona helped my husband and I understand our options and process along the way. She has been a huge support and a well of knowledge through this whole process and I truly appreciate all she has done, and continues to do, for us!

If you want a birth experience where you feel confident, calm, and in control, then having Fiona as your doula is your best move. It's not just an investment in your birthing experience but also the peace of mind for yourself.

With Fiona's guidance and preparation, my husband and I walked into that hospital prepared and empowered. From our initial consultation to our birth preparations and postpartum meetings, she provided a warm and positive energy that made us feel comfortable throughout our entire journey. There was not a question that went unanswered, no text or call (even late at night) that was not returned, and no feeling of uneasiness that she did not calm down.

She provided us with knowledge and tools that we utilized during labor, and her presence and support when we were deep in the trenches. I had an "interesting" L&D nurse who wasn't listening to my requests, but Fiona provided me with the positive energy while remaining firm as my advocate when I couldn't speak for myself. I am grateful because without her, I wouldn't have experienced my dream birth and achieved my goal of delivering my baby girl safely and unmedicated. It's one of my proudest moments in my life.

Fiona was more than a doula; she was my voice, my anchor, and my biggest advocate. Her positive energy, compassion, and unwavering support turned my birth into an empowering and unforgettable experience. Even after the delivery, Fiona continues to have a strong presence in our lives by being a great resource for any baby questions we have. She's now part of our family, and we cannot wait to have her by our side again for baby #2!

I am new to the Houston area. When I became pregnant with my 3rd boy, I was so overwhelmed by the choices involved with pregnancy in such a large city! Which doctor? Which hospital? Which photographer? Where should I go for a good prenatal massage? Etc. I also knew I wanted to have an unmedicated hospital birth, which I had not done before. I found Fiona & it was the best decision I made to hire her! She helped me switch doctors mid pregnancy when I knew the one I had found on my own was not a good fit. She helped me weigh the pros and cons of different hospitals. Most importantly, she helped me through my very first fully unmedicated birth. She was an amazing support person for both myself & my husband. We both agree working with her helped make this birth truly so special. She helped me stay accountable during my pregnancy - making sure I was taking care of myself in ways that would support a healthy pregnancy and smooth birth. She helped me find places that provided quality prenatal massages & acupuncture. She helped me cope mentally with having an over due baby - because ugh lol! She also told me about services my insurance provided that I didn't even know about - like a lactation consultant that would come  to my house. She even helped me find a photographer for baby / family pictures. Fiona made my birth experience better by preparing me in advance for what my particular hospital would provide, what things I should ask for / insist on, what room I should request and even had names of nurses to ask for if they were available during my delivery. Hiring a doula, especially Fiona, was by far the best decision I made in my 3 pregnancy experiences. She helped advocate for me and my baby throughout my entire pregnancy, helped me reach my goals - and did so with such kindness, humor and thorough knowledge that made me feel confident and prepared.  I can't  recommend her enough!

I recently photographed a birth where Fiona was the doula, and it was honestly incredible to watch her in her element. She moved with purpose, stepping in exactly when her client needed her and holding back when space was needed.

She came in READY to go, was giving words encouragement and grounding the whole room with her presence. You could see the trust between her clients and herself. Watching that kind of connection unfold while photographing the birth made the entire experience even more meaningful.

Fiona doesn’t just “do a job,” she shows up in a way that makes people feel safe and seen. Anyone would be lucky to have her by their side during birth!!!

Having Fiona as my doula for my first pregnancy was truly one of the best decisions I made! From the very beginning, she offered support, lots and lots of reassurance, and knowledge that helped me feel more confident and prepared for birth. As a first-time mom, I had so many questions and uncertainties, but Fiona never made me feel silly or overwhelmed. She took the time to listen, educate, and guide me every step of the way emotionally, mentally, and physically. Fiona genuinely cared not just about the birth aspect, but about me as a person. I can’t recommend Fiona enough to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply intuitive doula. Thank you, Fiona, for everything! You’ll always be a special part of our story!

When I first received news that we were expecting, I debated on whether or not we should have a doula. I've heard great things about it and was eager to interview. When we first met Fiona, my husband and I quickly could tell how knowledgeable she was and how much experience she's gathered throughout her time as a doula. Any questions we had, she was on it or she would even point us in the right direction like referring us to a lactation consultant!

I'm a first time mom, so having her by my side gave me so much empowerment in my experience and made sure I enjoyed this rollercoaster of pregnancy and even checking in on me postpartum. I couldn't recommend her enough, we'd love to work with her again for baby #2!

I had the immense privilege of working with Fiona during my birth, and though she was a student at the time, you would never know it by the level of care, wisdom, and presence she brought into the room. Fiona ended up being an absolutely invaluable part of my birth experience.

From the moment she arrived at the hospital, Fiona was all in. She stayed with me for multiple days, offering consistent emotional and physical support without ever seeming to tire. My birth was very long and Fiona was so positive and helpful the entire time. She took detailed notes, helped guide me through different birthing positions with calm confidence, and most importantly, she made me feel deeply seen, respected, and empowered. Her presence reminded me again and again that this birth was mine, on my terms, and that I had everything I needed within me to bring my baby into the world.

To anyone considering working with Fiona: do it. Even as a student, she radiated the kind of compassionate, skilled, and wise support that many experienced professionals strive for. I can only imagine how wonderful she has become with all the experience she has now. I’m beyond grateful she was part of my journey.

I'm so glad I had Fiona during my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum! During pregnancy she educated me and my husband about everything that could possibly happen, which helped our nerves a ton. At my birth, she was very supportive and continued to make sure we understood what was going on before we made any decision. Debriefing the experience a week later was great for us to process what all happened. Can't recommend her enough!

This was my first baby and with a high risk pregnancy, I needed help. I was scared in all honesty. Fiona helped me feel empowered and educated throughout my pregnancy and allowed me to take action towards my goals in birth. She recommended so much helpful reading material for us as first time parents, we gained so much knowledge from having a doula that we will bring into our (maybe) next baby. We even had information of flipping my breech baby!! I was able to labor for days unmedicated which I don't think I could have without pain management techniques from Fiona. Even though my birth did not go how we anticipated, it was that much less traumatic going into with the information and direction we gained from Fiona. I would highly recommend having a doula and more so Fiona as she's in your corner even after your baby is here.

Fiona is such a down to earth girl who truly just wants the best for you and the baby. My birth didn't go strict to the plan and that did not matter at all to her, she went along with every move I truly wanted to make but still was making sure I tried and had support before making a final decision. She was so helpful throughout postpartum as well any questions I had she knew exactly how to answer. I don't regret my decision getting a doula and I especially don't regret going with Fiona she was amazing and I would recommend her to anyone!

Fiona was the best investment! My first pregnancy I wasn't informed and just went with whatever the doctor told me. I ended up being told I'd need a caesarean at 18 weeks due to the size of my baby.
this time around my therapist recommended that I get a doula and I am so glad I did. Fiona eased a lot of my anxieties and made sure that I was informed on everything going on. She helped me make a plan for vaginal birth and a caesarean birth as well. She helped me with meals and exercises and near the end she helped me try and get labor moving. Even though my birth ended up being a caesarean I do feel like I had more control this time over the outcome of my birth. I loved my time with her! 10/10
