After suffering from baby blues after the birth of my first child, I decided to look for a doula to assist me during the birth of my second child and for postpartum night care for the baby, so I have enough energy to help my firstborn  through this very big change.  I contacted and met several doulas before and after meeting Ayda. But when I met Ayda, I immediately knew that she was the mama bear I was looking for, especially that she has 4 kids of her own! Ayda also has a very long experience in accompanying women during their childbirth journey and I felt very confident to let her share with my family and I, this intimate moment and this big responsibility. Thanks to Ayda’s presence and encouragement during the birth (with the breathing technique and words of encouragement, and her supporting my wishes for the birth), I had the easiest and fastest natural delivery! And I recovered in no time! Also during her  nighttime presence during the first couple of weeks postpartum, she gave me a lot of support in helping with taking care of my new baby. She also provided a lot of tips for breastfeeding as I hadn’t succeeded in breastfeeding the first time, and really wanted to put all the odds on my side during the second time. Ayda was there to provide all the tips and support without being judgmental. Ayda was very flexible in terms of availability during postpartum care, and thanks to her I was able to rest during these first weeks postpartum so I had the energy to be there for my toddler as well! I cannot recommend Ayda enough to any new parents or even existing parents welcoming another baby! I really wish Ayda was part of my first child delivery and she will be definitely the person to call should I plan for a third baby!

Ayda is a wonderful doula. Her family has generations of experience with childbirth and this definitely shapes her approach and perspective. Her gentle touch and calm demeanour were incredibly comforting during my labour, both for myself and my husband. I’m so very happy we were able to work with Ayda as she greatly contributed to making the birth of our son a pleasant experience that I look back on fondly. Thank you!

I was pregnant with our first baby and I had a lot of anxiety about the unknown. My husband and I decided to hire a doula for the extra support and we don't regret having Ayda as our doula! She listened attentively, knowledgeable and shares a lot of resources. Her soothing and reassuring presence calms you down.

What I love about her is that she cares for you holistically! She even lent me her exercise ball to do my pelvic exercises. At birth, she also offered coffee to my husband.

She advocated for me so that my birth wishes would be followed and I'm satisfied with my first birth experience! I highly recommend Doula Ayda to be your birth coach!

My wife and I are grateful for the support Ayda provided us during the pregnancy and delivery. Ayda was such an amazing source of comfort (not only to my wife but to me as well!), and we were very fortunate to have her there with us every step of the way. She took the time to get to know us and our objectives and wishes for the delivery. Ayda would explain various alternative options without ever imposing on us her own views. She gave us the tools we needed to make our own decisions based on our values. During the delivery, she served as our strong ambassador with hospital staff and gently reminded us of our options or previously communicated wishes. Her presence and guidance allowed us to focus on what really mattered.

My husband and I initially never planned on having a doula be part of our birth. We are very private people and only ever imagined that we would feel comfortable going through labour and delivery as just the two of us. It was only after attending prenatal classes that we recognized the value of having an experienced birth coach be part of our intimate team.

The first time we met Ayda, I quickly knew that she "got us". She understood that her best role was to support us as a unit, and help guide my husband in comforting me through each stage of birth, rather than her take on the hands-on role.

The day of our son’s birth, my labour progressed swiftly after my water broke. Ayda was the one who told us to go into the hospital after 6 hours labouring at home and luckily we did as I was 8cm once we arrived! She was a gentle support during my labour for both myself and my husband. Her years of experience working with labouring mothers in hospital settings is evident as she confidently spoke my wishes to the staff when I nor my husband were able to. This allowed me to finish progressing to 10 cm in a water tub until the last possible moment before pushing.

The clearest moment of how important Ayda’s presence for me personally, was during the pushing. She encouraged me to change my position to kneeling and use the bar and towel as leverage. She then guided me breath by breath and allowed me to focus my energy to push our baby out.

We are so appreciative of Ayda and the Rock the Cradle team for giving us the knowledge, guidance and support and helping us achieve our positive birth.

Ayda was a fantastic resource during my pregnancy, my labour and early motherhood. She is strong, compassionate and knowledgeable. She helped prepare is for all possible outcomes of labour and so we knew what our options were before arriving at the hospital. She was a tremendous support all throughout my 24+hour labour, teaching my husband how to support me during this time and also taking over for him so he could go get something to eat. I would recommend her to anyone!

Ayda provided postnatal care at a time when I needed it the most. Having very little family help available in my surroundings, she was a real lifesaver.

Her great experience, both professionally and personally, put me at ease . She was very pleasant to work with and flexible with her time. I would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone looking for a doula.

Ayda is a great support person. She makes sure your wishes are respected and helped a lot through the process. It felt good to know there was someone there who actually knew you and would help you. I was happy to have those session with you before the due date and have explain in a friendly manner the lingo of childbirth. Also, she was a great support after we came home and reassured us, new time parents. If we are blessed with a second, I will definitely count on her support and guidance once more!

I had the pleasure of having Ayda follow me throughout my pregnancy and birth and I couldn’t have asked for a better support. She is knowledgeable, caring and verystraight forward in her approach, she only wants what is best for you and baby. I felt safe and cared for with Ayda during my labour and birth, she stayed by mine and my partners side for nearly 2 full days. If it wasn’t for her guidance during my active labour, I feel like I would have truly missed out on what it meant to be birthing, especially since I was delivering in a hospital. I would recommend Ayda in a heartbeat to all expectant mothers to be!

I am so grateful for having had Ayda by my side for my birth experience. She helped me prenatally, answering my multitude of questions and providing guidance for me, a first time mom. She was also incredibly supportive during my labour, and although it didn't go as planned and ended in c section, she was there for me every step of the way and provided reassurance and support in dealing with the experience. I also had her come help post partum, which was amazing. Without family in the city I don't know what I would have done without her! She's very calm, capable and clearly experienced. I am already looking forward to having her with us for our second baby one day!

Ayda was a great support and incredible presence during my labour. I am so thankful to have had her by my side. My husband and I felt so comfortable with her from the moment we met her.

My labour was long; 48 hours early labour, 24 hours active labour, and did not go as planned. Because of Ayda I still look back on it as a positive experience. Ayda was supportive every step of the way and reassured me with my decisions and help navigate the next steps. It was wonderful to have someone with so much experience guide me.

Towards the end Ayda brought the doctor in to have a discussion about the progression. He then came in and my daughter was delivered shortly after and avoided a c-section.

Postpartum was a great help as well. She shared techniques for feeding and changing. I would definitely have Ayda by my side again and would recommend her to everyone.

Ayda was instrumental in my natural unmedicated birth - she helped me using everything we discussed beforehand (essential oils, oils for crowning, homeopathy administration that I wanted). Ayda also remembered every detail of the birth plan me and my husband wrote up. While discussing my birth preferences she was very straightforward of what was the usual practice in Montreal hospitals and how likely it was for me to get it - most of the things she said were confirmed thereafter in my conversations with my OB.

Ayda guided us before the D-day with exchanges following my OB visits, prenatal meetings and answering my texts. On the day my labor started her timing was great, she guided us on when to go to hospital so that I gave birth 1.5 hours after we arrived to Anna Laberge. My 9.5 hour labor was great, no tears or medications in or after the delivery. I also got everything that was on my plan: delayed clamping (for 17 min!), placing my baby on my chest, father cutting the cord, no Pitocin, unassisted placenta delivery, oral vitamin K and no eye ointment for the baby. WHile hospital was very accomodating it was Ayda who helped my husband and I to communicate all these preferences on time and helped me to respectfully decline suggestions that were not part of my perfect birth vision.

Another great thing about Ayda: as our baby boy was born she offered my husband to take pictures of those first blessed moments of us three together (with his phone) - we were not planning on it but now we go back and we review those pictures with admiration and love.

Ayda was also great help postpartum - she answered our questions, showed better ways of burping/massaging/breastfeeding the baby and gave him his first bath with us. Ayda is a great choice for great birth and postpartum experience.

Doula Ayda was an incredible support and help during my pragnancy and birth. Besides her outstanding knowledge of prenatal care, she was amazingly well-educated about the birth process and was the main reason i had natural birth. My baby was born at 42 weeks narutally thanks to all the advices and support i recieved from Ayda. Even though i was sceduled for induction at 42 weeks i followed the routine of exercises and natural remedies suggested by Ayda to help with natural birth which worked wonders. The contractions started one day before the scheduled induction date, and no oxitocine, epidural or any other medication was needed. The baby was born completely naturally after 16 hours. Ayda was with me and my husband at the hospital during the entire process providing unconditional support and care that i would never forget. Her vast knowledge, patience, kindness and strong presence immensely contributed to a very positive experience I had givign birth to my first child. I cannot express enough my gratitude to Ayda and I hope that you will also have a chance to work with this wonderful person. You will never regret. With warm wishes, Tatiana

Ayda is a wonderful, experienced and reassuring doula. She's assisted in many births and her experience is evident. Throughout the prenatal sessions, she provided me with the confidence I was lacking to trust myself and to trust that my body would be able to go through the labour. My labour didn't go as planned and I ended up being induced and was very nervous. Ayda walked me through the process prior to the induction and throughout and was a very reassuring presence and continued to coach me throughout. I was able to give birth to our daughter without medication, as I'd wished. She was also very helpful with my partner and empowering him as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her, she is absolutely fantastic.

Ayda was very helpful in assisting me throughout the birthing process. She was by my side, strong willed yet gentle, and looking back now, those are great qualities and just what I needed during the process. She is informed on hospital procedures and was a great guide. I'm happy with my experience and Ayda's dedication, as my birth was quite long. I do recommend her services to seeking new moms.

I am so grateful that Ayda was part of the journey of my first pregnancy. I felt an immediate connection the first time I met her, and after our first discussion I knew she understood me, my husband, and our vision of our ideal birth. During the pregnancy, she gave me so many precious tools to be as ready as I could be for labour and delivery. I loved that she was totally real, she prepared me and helped me not to avoid the pain but to surrender to it, to welcome it and be empowered by it, as it is what helps bring baby into this world. When the day arrived, I felt she she was an angel by my side. I listened to every word she calmly said by my ear during labour and delivery, and I know that thanks to her cues and my mental preparation, I was blessed with a beautiful, completely natural, empowering birth. I am forever grateful for her help and really thinks every woman should have a doula to accompany them in the amazing adventure of giving life.

Having Ayda with me during my pregnancy, during labour and after labour was the best. She gave me good advice, was able to work with my personality and husband's personality as well. She guided us through the whole time and knew exactly how to help us when giving birth. Postpartum, she gave me good advice. She always made herself available to answer my questions. Without Ayda, I can't imagine how my whole birth experience would have been like!

Ayda is an amazing doula!
She has been there for me through all three of my pregnancies as well as a miscarriage and has helped me so much!!
I don't know how to keep this short because I have so much to say about her.
I also really don't know how I would have made it without her kind loving hands and EXPERIENCE!!
Ayda is so passionate about what she does. She is honest and ALWAYS!!! There when you need her despite the fact that she is a wife and mother of four, she will always be there for you. She taught me so many techniques about labour, birth, babies and children as well as given me endless amounts of advice. I never felt that I had a stupid question or that any personal request was above her. Ayda never hesitated to take charge of uncomfortable situations at the hospital in order to make me feel more comfortable. She was never pushy or rude and always made me feel in control.
I don't think that Ayda knows how many people she has touched through her work. I am constantly quoting her and so many of my family and friends owe there great experiences to her.
Ayda is my hero! and an excellent doula.
I recommend her to everyone!
