Shauna was absolutely amazing throughout our entire birth experience, and we truly could not have asked for a better doula. From the very beginning, she was supportive, caring, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable, heard, and reassured every step of the way.

One of the things I am most grateful for was how Shauna helped make sure our voices were heard. When I was sent for an early induction at 37 weeks—something I personally felt wasn’t necessary—Shauna never made the decision for me. Instead, she helped me understand my options, ask the right questions, advocate for myself, and feel confident in making an informed decision that felt right for me and my family.

She gave me the confidence to recognize when I was no longer comfortable with my provider and office and ultimately make the difficult decision to leave and seek care elsewhere. That decision led us to an incredible experience with our second provider and hospital, where we felt respected, supported, and truly listened to. I honestly don’t know if I would have had the confidence to make that change without Shauna’s guidance and support.

She supported not only me, but my husband as well, making sure we both felt confident, informed, and involved throughout the entire process. Her calm presence, compassion, and ability to advocate alongside us made such a meaningful difference.

Shauna went above and beyond for our family, and we will always be grateful that she was there during such an important and emotional time in our lives. She helped us feel empowered rather than overwhelmed, and she reminded us that we deserved to have a voice in our own birth experience.

She was an incredible part of our journey, and we will always appreciate everything she did for us. ??
