Emily holds a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and a BA in Human Rights from Bard College. She has advocated for institutional changes in NYC shelters to better support the transgender community, provided crisis advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in NYC hospitals, and volunteered at a suicide hotline. Emily provides body positive, trauma informed and evidence based care. She has studied herbalism for near a decade and often brings in herbal remedies into her practice as a birth doula.
