I reached out to Emily for postpartum support for baby #2 with the goal to be able to spend some 1:1 time with our older daughter. I was suprised by how anxious I felt about being away from the baby, but my anxiety instantly went away when I met Emily. From our first conversation, I could tell she was a thoughtful and empathetic person, and after we met, it confirmed that she was these things and so much more! Emily provided our younger daughter (who was barely 8 weeks old when we started to work together) with love, joy, and playfulness. She supported us with feeding and sleeping and always checked in on me about my recovery. Our older daughter also took to Emily immediately, and we all looked forward to the time Emily spent with our family. I could not recommend Emily more strongly for a family seeking a postpartum doula!

Emily was an absolute godsend during the early stages of our son’s life. As first-time parents we could not have asked for steadier, calmer or more reassuring guidance. Luckily our son ended up being perfectly healthy, but after needing to get a follow up test for the heel prick blood results we were understandably very stressed. This was made doubly stressful as we live outside of the United States and had no close family by our side. 

Emily was so nurturing with her advice, wisdom and knowledge during our virtual sessions together. She became like a friend and even a stand-in family member for all three of us. My wife also had a great deal of difficulty with breastfeeding and latching and this is where Emily shined most of all. She was so inspirational and encouraging it is hard to imagine how we would have survived these early days without her. Emily is incredible with babies, mothers and nervous fathers. On a personal level I have to mention that I was so impressed with her cool under pressure, relatable personality and sense of humor which is really so important during the first days of parenthood.

Thank you Emily for being "a part of our family". I really look forward to meeting in person soon so that we can thank you for everything. If you are looking for a postpartum doula you really can't do better!
