My family moved from the Gulf to Canada in 2009, making me a third-culture kid. A migraine in 2010 and a back injury in 2012 marked the start of my journey with invisible conditions and chronic pain. As a South Asian woman, I’ve faced myths, misunderstandings, and stigma surrounding mental, sexual, and reproductive health—especially where culture, religion, and gender intersect. Surviving adverse childhood experiences, sexual violence, and reproductive injustices has fueled my passion for change. I refuse to let others suffer in silence as I have. As a trained sexual violence supporter, sexual health educator, and full-spectrum doula, I founded Oru Kutty Community. I provide education and services for those navigating their sexuality, fertility, pregnancy, labour/birth, postpartum, or loss/abortion while juggling multiple marginalized identities. I support everyone through a feminist, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed lens, while also ensuring my work is evidence-based, accessible, and inclusive. I know firsthand how our intersectional identity can shape the barriers we face in our sexual and reproductive lives. My hope is to ease that burden—so that your intersectional identity is not a source of struggle, but a place of strength. Here’s to staying happy, healthy, and alive!
Supporting individuals through their sexual and reproductive health journeys is my passion, and ensuring the sustainability of my practice allows me to continue this vital work. My package rates reflect my commitment to ongoing education, the creation of a safe and inclusive space, and the dedicated care I provide. I understand that affordability matters. While my rates are thoughtfully set, they remain lower than many comparable biopsychosocial support services and competitive within the doula community, even among those with differing levels of education and experience. Though my prices may be higher than some, they reflect the unique expertise, personalized care, and comprehensive support that define my practice.
