We used Aya for both delivery and postpartum support, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience.

We chose Aya because we really appreciated her thoughtful and personalized approach to the delivery process. She took the time to ask us insightful questions about our preferences and how we envisioned the delivery experience, rather than simply telling us what to expect. She also helped us think through what to consider in the event of complications and explained how she would partner with us throughout the experience. Her guidance made such a difference. When delivery day arrived, we were able to fully enjoy the experience because we felt informed, prepared, and supported at every stage, and our preferences were respected.

We also worked with Aya postpartum, specifically through her Tending of the Hearth package, which was such a special experience during those early weeks. The food Aya prepared was delicious, the massages were incredibly relaxing, and the conversations were thoughtful and meaningful. It was such a gift to have someone caring for us during a time when so much of our focus was on caring for our new baby.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Aya to any first-time mom looking for an added layer of support, care, and compassion as she moves through one of the most challenging and profound experiences of her life.

Working with Aya has been a calm and reassuring experience. We retained Aya in first trimester and found her to be quick in response via text whenever we had any questions. Aya's approach was non-judgemental and client oriented, which put us at ease. Aya was also gentle in information sharing about things that we didnt know or things we had doubts about. During delivery, Aya was able to advocate for our preference, and she helped us in making decisions for unforeseen situation that came up. Overall, Aya's gentle approach makes her a great doula to have during pregnancy and delivery.

Aya was very helpful to have by our side during the birth of our son. As first time parents we thought hiring a doula would be beneficial, and it was. Aya provided all the information we needed prior to the birth, lots of important stuff about expectations and complications that can come up. She made our birth-plan with us (something we would have had no idea to do). And she stayed awake all night and helped put pressure on my wife’s hips for hours during the labor. She is passionate about her work and went above and beyond to make our experience special. We were happy to have her by our side. I recommend!

We are really grateful to have been recommended Aya from a network of Doulas, Birth by Bloom. We interviewed 5 doulas by Bloom and we chose Aya due to feeling a good connection with her. I would recommend Aya to anyone seeking a home birth. Her pre-term support is fantastic as well as navigating potential post term induction choice. My wife went into labour at 41w2d in the middle of the night and Aya replied within minutes and came to support us with contraction techniques. My wife laboured quickly without medical intervention or painkillers due to the support provided by Aya and our midwife jade team at Pomegranate Midwives.

Aya was an amazing doula I had a high-risk and highly complicated pregnancy. She never waivered providing 5 star support. She was neurdivergent friendly and full of suggestions. Me and my husband are both neurodiverse and she was cognicent of both our needs. She was open to changes in plans and kept tabs on us throughout or 37 hospital visits that resulted in a 6 week hospital stay and and early induction. Her post natal care was the best. She loved and cared for Arlo and helped me immensely when we had another hospital stay this time lasting 2 weeks and made sure Arlo was taken care of while we were busy with paperwork and hospital politics. I would reccomend Aya to any queer and neurodiverse client. These are the areas of care she excells at. We are so thankful to of had her as part of our pregnancy and post natal care team.
