We hired Aylie Millar pretty quickly- our interview with her automatically felt comfortable and safe and she just felt like a good fit. And what a great choice she was!

Aylie is a consummate professional and a person whose peaceful energy and quiet confidence I can only hope to match someday.

Aylie did a home visit before our little one arrived, which allowed us to touch base on her methods and everyone's expectations. She reiterated that she was here to help- whether that was with the baby or with chores or whatever else we needed that fell within the contract.

Once our baby was born, she coordinated times throughout the week that she could come by. We tended to ask her to come in for a few hours in the morning. Among the things she helped us with were chores (I don't think we had a concept of how quickly laundry would pile up for us!) and caring for the baby while we got in some self-care. Often, that would cover us while we showered or got in a much-needed nap.

More important than anything else, more than the very useful cleaning and tidying, more than the holding and soothing of our baby while we took care of other things, was the peace of mind that Aylie provided.

As first-time parents, we had so many questions. Some of these we would text her and some we would write down to ask her about. In this way, she helped us develop confidence and skills. She coached us through babywearing with a wrap and through our baby's first bath. She also helped me troubleshoot breastfeeding. She has so much expertise and it was by far the thing I found most valuable about this experience.

Aylie is a wonderful human being and an exemplary postpartum doula. I highly recommend her services to anybody- new or experienced parents!

Aylie has been an absolute lifesaver for us as our postpartum doula! She was always right on time, which helped so much in those first few weeks when everything felt so overwhelming. As a first-time mom, I had so many questions about baby care, and she guided me through it all with patience and practical advice that I really needed.

What I loved most was how she took care of the baby so I could actually rest, which was such a game-changer. Plus, Aylie has this amazing initiative—when she’s done with one task, she doesn’t just wait around; she’ll jump in and help with whatever else needs doing.

Having her around was a huge help, and because of her, we feel so much more confident as new parents. We’re so grateful for her support, and I can’t recommend her enough!

Aylie was truly meant to be part of our journey as we navigated postpartum life. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found her. This past summer, she supported us after the birth of our second son, and her presence immediately put me at ease. With her nurturing energy and vast experience with newborns, I trusted her with my baby completely—probably even more than I trusted my own husband (sorry, babe!). From the moment she arrived, our little one felt completely safe in her care.

What sets Aylie apart is her ability to anticipate needs without ever being asked—whether it’s loading dirty dishes into the dishwasher or folding the mountain of laundry lingering in the corner. She is completely nonjudgmental during such a vulnerable time (did I mention the piles of laundry and unmade beds?), and has an intuitive way of making everything feel more manageable and smooth.

If you're lucky enough to have Aylie as your postpartum Doula, I promise she will make your experience 10 times better.

P.S. It's a major bonus that Aylie is DONA certified and covered by Carrot Fertility for postpartum Doula support!

Working with Aylie was wonderful. She was very loving and affirming and provided non judgemental care for our family in those first weeks of bringing our daugther home. She wanted us to have the best experience as new parents based on what we valued and where we were at. She was gentle, supportive and very willing to jump right in! And whats more incredible is that we were one of her first families back in March 2023!

I felt fully able to be myself at such a tender and vulnerable time as a new parent. It makes me very happy to know that she continues to support families. They are so lucky to work with her. What a gift!

As a first-time mom, I feel incredibly fortunate to have met Aylie.

Aylie has an incredible knowledge about babies and lactation. She taught me how to help my baby latch properly and how to pump efficiently. She baked me the most delicious lactation cookies! Her constant words of reassurance reminded me that I was doing a good job as a mom. When my husband returned to work and I felt very anxious, she gave me the warmest hug and checked in on me daily.

Aylie encouraged me to see a lactation snurse when I had a clogged duct, which led to us discovering that my baby needed a tongue-tie release. Not only did Aylie come with us to meet the doctor, but she also offered valuable advice and helped us with the post-procedure exercises for the baby.

Aylie made sure I had the support I needed to recover quickly. Each morning, she ensured I had food, water, and help around the house. From washing bottles and pump parts, and emptying dishwasher, to doing laundry. Aylie did it all while taking care of my baby, who was pretty fussy because of her tongue-tie, reflux, and gas pain. Yet, Aylie always managed to soothe her to sleep and keep her calm. She has the most calming voice, and her soothing words would put my baby to sleep instantly. When my baby struggled to bottle feed, she tried every method possible to make sure my baby had a full meal. Her calm demeanor, even when my baby cried her eyes out, was truly remarkable. I always felt relaxed knowing my baby was in Aylie’s care. My baby adored Aylie. She loved bath time, never cried, and always cooed happily while playing games with Aylie. Her eyes would sparkle with joy during their time together.

After three months, Aylie gave me the confidence and skills I needed as a mom and showered my baby with love. I’m certain she would provide the same exceptional care for you and your baby.
