Having Ernest as my birth doula was awesome. I was nervous about being in a hospital setting, and his calm, knowledgeable presence made me feel way more comfortable. He also did a great job of checking on my partner and remembering our birth preferences.

He checked on us both prenatal and postpartum as well and I liked knowing there was someone I could text with questions when I needed to. He was always supportive and I'm so glad he was part of my experience of becoming a parent.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Ernest. From the very beginning, he earned a level of trust that we truly do not give easily. Outside of each other, Ernest is the only person we fully trust to watch and feed our twins. 

One of our twins has significant feeding difficulties and care needs that are constantly evolving. Ernest handled this with remarkable skill, calm, and confidence. He adapted seamlessly to changing plans, followed instructions precisely, and made thoughtful decisions overnight that gave us complete peace of mind. His experience with babies was evident in every aspect of his care.

Because of how exceptional he was, we extended our postpartum care with Ernest multiple times. Beyond baby care, he went above and beyond by washing bottles, keeping things organized overnight, and consistently setting us up with a dream feed before he left so we could get extra sleep in the morning. Those small but incredibly thoughtful touches made a huge difference for our family.

Ernest is knowledgeable, reliable, and deeply attuned to both babies and parents. His presence during such a vulnerable and exhausting time allowed us to truly rest, knowing our twins were in the best possible hands. We are profoundly grateful for his care and would recommend him without hesitation, especially to families navigating complex or premature newborn needs.

When my husband and I were looking for a doula, we wanted someone who would advocate for us in a caring and compassionate way — and Ernest was everything we hoped for and more. From our very first meeting, he took the time to truly listen to my needs and concerns as a first-time mom, making me feel seen, supported, and at ease throughout the entire process.

What stood out most was how attentive, responsive, and calm Ernest was. He always made himself available to answer questions, offer guidance, and check in — no matter how small the concern. During labor, his presence brought a sense of peace and confidence that helped both of us stay grounded and focused.

Ernest also went out of his way to include and support my husband, ensuring he felt informed, involved, and empowered to play an active role in the birth experience. That meant so much to both of us.

We are beyond grateful for Ernest’s care, compassion, and professionalism. He has a true gift for what he does, and we can’t recommend him highly enough to any family looking for a supportive, genuine, and skilled doula.

When my wife and I were in search of a doula in the Summer of 2025 we were not concerned about gender, experience, price, etc. We were in search of someone that we felt comfortable with; somebody that would stand behind our decisions and provide support for both myself as the support partner and my wife.  We interviewed a handful of doulas and while most of them checked off several of the boxes, we felt most the comfortable with Ernest.  Of all those that were interviewed, he was the only one that really engaged with me as the support partner, as well as asking what my wifes expectations were for having a doula.  Ernest's calm demeanor, open mind, and experience as a doula were a perfect match for what we were looking for.  

Leading up to our pregnancy, Ernest was very attentive to our needs, reaching out on several occassions to check in and see how we were doing - even though we were several weeks away from our due date.  He was also accomodating to our questions and last minute schedule changes, responding prompltly to any inquiries we had.  

On the day of our child's birth, Ernest was with us in the very early stages of labor, even though he didn't need to be.  He always offered to grab us something, get some water/ice, etc., as well as help my wife be more comfortable during this stage of the birthing process.  He was a great sounding board to our nurses, offering up suggestions on how we could make her feel more comfortable and some exercises/positions we could try to help encourage a vaginal birth (this was one of our primary goals).  After 26 hours of labor, my wife finally gave birth to our son and we were able to avoid a c-section.

We couldn't imagine going through this experience without him and he will forever hold a special place in our hearts. 

We would strongly recommend Ernest as a doula!

My experience with Ernest was amazing! As a single mother who no longer has my mom, I was nervous and honestly scared of labor. I felt so alone during my pregnancy, constantly worrying about the big day. But once I met Ernest, he reassured me that he would be there every step of the way. Anytime I had questions, he made sure to answer them thoroughly and encouraged me throughout the process.

When labor came, it was stressful, but Ernest’s patience, calm presence, and encouragement made all the difference. I wouldn’t have wanted my birth experience any other way! Now that my baby is 3 months old, I still stay in close contact with him because he truly is the best.

Ernest has taught me so many helpful tips and tricks for caring for my baby. I continue to use his services—whether it’s getting housework done, or simply catching up on work. Thank you so much, Ernest, for everything you do. Your skill, patience, and heart are unmatched!

I hired Ernest for the birth of my 2nd child and he was phenomenal. The materials he provided I wished I had with my first child. Everything was detailed and comprehensive. He helped me form a great birthing plan and made sure me and my partner were supported and heard during the whole process. Wonderful experience. Can't say enough great things about him.

Ernest was my birth doula. My labor was fast, so his time as birth doula was short, but the pelvic counter pressure he provided was EXTREMELY helpful in getting through an unmedicated birth as comfortable as possible. Before and after delivery he was consistent and considerate in checking in on us and being available to help anyway he could. I am very thankful for his help and very happy that he was my birth doula

From our first meeting, Ernest had a calming, professional presence that put us both at ease. He met with us beforehand, teaching me practical techniques like support positions and pressure points, which made me feel more prepared and useful when the time came.

On the day of the birth, Ernest was our anchor. In the whirlwind of a hospital setting, he was the calm, knowledgeable voice that kept us grounded. He quietly asked the nursing staff questions we would have never thought to ask and acted as a steady advocate for our birth plan. When my wife needed constant physical support, Ernest was right there, handling the relentless hip squeezes so I could focus on her emotionally and just be present with her. He knew exactly when to step in with a suggestion and provide reassuring feedback.

Ernest allowed me to be the best possible partner for my wife on one of the most important days of our lives. I wasn't worried about forgetting a question or missing a detail because I knew he had our backs. He is kind, intuitive, and incredibly supportive of the entire family unit. He still checks in on us, and it truly feels like he became a part of our family. We can't recommend him highly enough.

When my wife and I were preparing for the birth of our second child, she told me she wanted to hire a doula. We had tried to go the midwife route with our first, but the circumstances of that pregnancy didn’t allow for it, so I could understand the appeal of having someone support us through the birthing process.

As we began interviewing doulas, we came across Ernest’s profile and both agreed we wanted to talk to him. After our interview, we knew we had found the right doula.

In the weeks leading up to the birth, we video chatted with Ernest periodically, and he also visited our home a couple of times to teach us support positions, stretches, and to get a general sense of our birth plan and preferences.

When the big day came, Ernest was there exactly when we needed him. He was a complete professional in both his tact and approach—asking the hospital staff important questions that would never have occurred to us, providing near-constant pressure point massage for my wife, and also knowing when to step back and give us space to share quiet moments together.

Having someone by our side whose sole focus was advocating for us on one of the biggest days of our lives was truly invaluable. It can be hard to assert yourself in a hospital setting when you're surrounded by medical professionals, but Ernest never hesitated to speak up on our behalf.

After we returned home from the hospital, he visited us again—and he continues to keep in touch with us to this day. We cannot recommend him and his services highly enough. If we have a third child, we will be giving Ernest a call.

Ernest was an awesome birth doula for us! We had a hospital birth that got somewhat complicated, but Ernest was with us - calm, focused, and ready to help break things down when things started not going to plan. Ernest is really good at looking after both the birthing parent and partner, and is also super available by text, even after birth -- he also helped us debug early latching issues early on.

Being a first time parent, he was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had regarding baby sleep and feeding. He helped get our baby on a more regular schedule which has made our lives so much easier and less overwhelming.

He's very caring and still checks in to see how baby is doing. I honestly can't recommend him enough and we are so grateful for the time he spent with our family!

Ernest is the baby whisperer! I was amazed at how our month-old premie didn't make a SOUND the first night she spent with "Uncle Ernie." He has such a calming presence and natural empathy for the baby. She seemed so content! We even asked him back for a "baby bootcamp" session to show us his secrets! We will definitely be booking with him again!

I was 7 months pregnant when we got matched with Ernest. From the moment my partner and I met him, we felt at ease. Ernest asked what my expectations of his primary roles were, and I answered that he would primarily be there to support my partner, who is very engaged in the pregnancy/parenting process. I wanted my partner to be my primary support person, with Ernest there to support him.

My partner expressed a need to have backup for keeping track of all of the providers coming and going to help him manage his social anxiety, and I know that having Ernest in the room made both of us feel like we weren't missing things when the room felt like chaos. We also asked that Ernest take pictures for us after the birth.

Ernest answered all of our questions, provided resources, and reviewed our birth plan with us to help us feel prepared before arriving at the hospital. When we were in the hospital, he made sure we both ate by getting us food and drinks. When my leg cramped up during delivery, Ernest took over massaging my leg with his confident hands so my partner could focus on managing the atmosphere in the room.

Although my birth plan said I wanted to avoid a C-section unless medically necessary, when I asked for one 32 hours into labor and my partner turned to Ernest for his advice, he was supportive of the change in direction. During the operation, he took some amazing photos of my partner with the baby that we will cherish forever. 

With Ernest by our side, we never felt alone in the birthing process. He was there for us and continues to check-in with us post-partum. I highly recommend working with Ernest for your birth!

Ernest was a fantastic help in our first two months post-partum. We hired him mostly to help watch our baby during the day so that I (mom) could catch up on some sleep after being up most of the night with him. Ernest was so sweet with my newborn son, giving him lots of cuddles and attention, and he had a very calming effect on both of us. I rarely heard my son cry when he was with Ernest, and he was always attended to when he did make any sort of sound. I was always able to sleep easily when Ernest was there. Ernest always made sure to wash his hands, and helped with simple household tasks like laundry and dishes - so important with all the bottles and pump parts that need to be washed constantly! He helped me to give our son his first bath, and was a great example for me so I would know how to do it on my own in the future. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience with Ernest and highly recommend him for any family.

Ernest was our night doula for a little over two weeks in August and September of 2024, and we have nothing but positive things to say!

I was recovering from a complicated birth (with additional complications after leaving the hospital). My baby had no complications, but was eating quite frequently, and between that and pumping, I was not sleeping, which was not aiding in my recovery. Ernest showed up promptly every night and made sure my baby stayed fed, allowing me peace of mind and the opportunity to sleep between pumping sessions, which was greatly needed. He would also give me a quick rundown before departing in the morning of baby's feeds and diaper changes, and if there was anything else that needed monitoring, such as baby's umbilical stump.

Ernest's calm, kind, and amenable nature put me very much at ease even on initial contact before hiring, and I am certain that that aided in getting my baby into a good overnight rhythm of mostly staying sleepy while eating enough to keep him growing and happy.

If we ever had need of a night doula again, we would absolutely ask Ernest again in a heartbeat, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking!
