Christa is a Holistic Community Indigenous Birth Helper. She is Diné (Navajo) and grew up on the Navajo Nation reservation. She is Red Running into the Water clan (Táchii’nii) and born for the Honey Combed Rock People clan (Tsénjíkiní). Her maternal grandparent is Bitter Water clan (Tódich’nii’ii) and her paternal grandparent is Water’s Edge clan (Tábááhí). She is passionate about reclaiming traditional birth practices, plant medicine, lactation, community support, and using complementary forms of healing to restore the body’s balance and harmony. She aspires to bring high quality care and increase access to doula care to help decrease health concerns affecting the BIPOC communities. She received doula training through Zaagi’idiwin Full Spectrum Indigenous Doula Training and Brown Bellies + Birth Collective Holistic Community Doula Training. She's an Indigenous Breastfeeding Counselor, Certified Lactation Counselor, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
