I absolutely adore Sarah! Upon first meeting with her, we could already tell that the knowledge and expertise she had would be extremely valuable during the last bit of my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I was already 28 weeks pregnant when we decided to hire her, and at the time I was planning a hospital birth. Sarah was kind enough to educate me and let me know that I still had the option of a homebirth (which was something I wanted to do all along but didn't understand my options and opportunities available). Through her helping me and giving me some wonderful resources, I was able to have the homebirth that I had wished and hoped for. Throughout my labor, she was so incredibly receptive to my needs and also the needs of my husband. Her constant encouragement during labor was so uplifting and I was really able to focus on my contractions and getting my daughter earthside. Having her support during labor was so extremely helpful and I would reccomend her services to any mama. She truly is a gem and I'm so thankful to have met her and have her attend my birth :)

Ok I shared before but it was short and I had Typos. Sarah was awesome, she kept me calm. I do not believe I would have remained at home for as long as I was able to without her there. She knew exactly  where to push(double hip maneuver) to help help with my back labor. She is a wealth of knowledge. If we decide to have another child I definitely  want her to come along the journey  with me. She helped me write up my birth plan, she explained alot.  I had alot of questions while I was pregnant and she always answered them to the best of her ability. My little man decided to flip breech @ 38 weeks. she recommended her chiropractor and showed me some exercises to encourage  the baby to flip on hisbown.  And he flipped back by 39 weeks without doctor intervention. I had a great birth experience  with her help.

I looked having Sarah their during my labor. She kept me calm and reminded me I can do this otherwise  I would have been a nervous wreck. I achieved  all of my birthing goals with her help. She helped answer  all of my questions to the best of her abilities throughout the entire pregnancy. If we decide to grow our family we will definitely  use her again.

Sarah was wonderful! During our first couple of meetings it was obvious that she was very knowledgable and experienced. She had several good suggestions and brough up important ideas that I had not previously considered. During labor and delivery she was very supportive, calming and reassuring. She was essential in helping everything run smoothly. She was helpful and knowledgeable with a few post partum issues that I ran into with breastfeeding and with healing. I would highly reccommend Sarah. After meeting her and seeing how my labor and delivery went, my sister has even decided to hire Sarah.

I decided late in the game that I really needed a doula....I didn't think I was going to be able to afford one. Luckily, I found Sarah who was willing to work with our situation. I met with her only twice before going into labor. I immediately felt so at ease. She was kind, supportive, and very knowledgeable. I knew right away that it was a good fit.

She traveled over an hour to our home and then to the birth center....in the middle of the night!! She was with us the whole time...the entire 19+ hours!! She knew just what to do to ease my pain enough to know I could keep going. She spent multiple hours spraying water on my back....she was willing to do anything to make me more comfortable. She also had great suggestions of different techniques to try when my labor slowed down a bit. She also helped my husband get involved. I can't imagine going through my labor without her. I had a successful VBAC and I couldn't have done it without her. You don't realize how important a doula is until after you go through labor.

Sarah is amazing and a definite necessity for your birth!

We met with Sarah 3 times prior to the birth of our daughter & once after. It became a friendship, not just all business. Sarah took time to hear our concerns, answer questions, get to know us & allow us to get to know her.

We decided to labor at home as long as possible then head to the hospital for delivery. While Sarah is a big fan of home birth, she was fully supportive & helped prepare us for things the hospital staff, nurses & doctors may push on us. When the big day came, Sarah helped to keep us both calm & worked with my husband to meet all my needs, whether it was counter-pressure or encouragement. After hours laboring at home, my husband was anxious & wanted to go to the hospital—I didn't feel ready. With her encouragement, I was able to do what I had wanted PRIOR to the adrenaline of labor and stay home longer. Her calmness was able to steer me back to my wishes.

When we arrived at the hospital, Sarah fought for me, warding off continuous requests for monitoring & a hep-lock. When I was being told that I had to move positions, Sarah reminded me of my rights & that I could do what was comfortable for me. Near the end of my labor, I kept saying, "I can't do this!" Sarah's simple words brought life back to me when she said, "But you already are!" To be reminded of how far you've already come can be just enough to propel you to the end & that's exactly what she did for me.

I was in labor for 13.5 hours. When my daughter was born, she quickly reminded the doctor that I wanted delayed cord clamping—something I wouldn't have done in my exhaustion & excitement. She helped my daughter latch on right away and got breastfeeding off on the right foot. Ultimately Sarah helped keep adrenaline & the wishes of others get in the way of how we wanted our birth experience to be. I strongly believe we had a better outcome & better memories because of Sarah's involvement.
