We absolutely loved our experience working with Heather. As a queer couple, it was important that we found a doula who was both understanding and aware of our unique needs. Heather was knowledgeable, and they made us feel immediately relaxed and comfortable. They helped prepare us throughout my pregnancy, meeting with us numerous times, and sparking conversation regarding topics we had not considered for our upcoming birth.

When my birth plan changed in the middle of labor, Heather was communicative, and was there to help support and advocate. They provided a calming presence, while actively navigating interactions with the healthcare staff as well as supporting both my partner and me. They provided education as the plan continued to change, ensuring we understood our patient rights.

Heather was intuitive and read the room well, providing my partner with breaks as needed when all that helped me was counter pressure for hours, and also giving us space as a couple to be present with one another.

After birth, Heather was very communicative, reaching out by text to check in to see how recovery, bonding, nursing, etc was going, and providing valuable resources and support.

We highly recommend choosing Heather to be your doula!

I felt so cared for and supported by Heather during my postpartum as a first time mom. Their guidance helped me practically and, more importantly, emotionally, as I navigated becoming a mother. Heather was there for me during my hardest and longest days and nights. Heather is a pillar of strength and support, and full of endless wisdom. They are also well connected in our community, which helped me and my little one connect with professional support like lactation consultants, and also with mom support groups and other families, bringing us into the wonderful world of parenthood surrounded in community.
