Postpartum limits/restrictions: To give my individual attention I take on only one postpartum family a month. Families who hire me for their birth come first. In order to book me for any postpartum visits I ask that you do it 3 months at least in advanced.

I started out as a nanny and worked my way through to become a Newborn Care Specialist, CLC, Birth and Postpartum Doula. Working with each individual family to meet their needs and give them all the tools to make empowered choices for themselves. I absolutely love what I do and I am so grateful for all the families I worked and work with currently. I consider myself family focused and one who knows when to be hands off and hands on. I have experience with multiples, singletons, belly births, VBACS and transfers. Any family who welcomes me as their doula is a great honor

Fee Details
My birth package includes-3 Prenatals, Unlimited text support + birth & postpartum circles, Birth Education, Hypnobirthing, Birth Photography, Birth planning, Meal preparation prior to due date window +2 postpartum visits with the ability to add upon availability. I also offer virtual support! Birth education, Birth prep, Third trimester checklist, Nutrition, lactation support and new parent support. For additional or separate postpartum visits-55/hr with a minimum of 3 hours. Overnights are a max of 2 nights a week for a minimum of 8 hours.

Shira was the most incredible doula and post partum care I could ask for. After our delivery, I felt slightly lost and not sure which way was up. Shira not only took incredible care of our baby, I learned so much from her about the day in and day out that no one really prepares you for. She also took great care of me to make sure I got the rest and support I needed in those first few weeks. We couldn't have been more grateful and wish we could have had her for longer.

My experience with Shira was absolutely amazing. I went into labor 3 weeks early, which is not only scary for me as a mother, but I was also worried she had another delivery that was around the same time. She immediately got back to my husband, who was the main point of contact at the time, and told him she was on her way. I wasn’t thinking I was as far a long as I was so am beyond thankful that she showed up when she did. She made the room so comfortable and a much calmer environment immediately and that was so helpful. There was quite a bit of down time in between admittance and laboring, and she still stayed vigilant of everything. In the end my circumstances changed to a c section and she made sure to check in with my husband multiple times a day. I never felt like I wasn’t being heard or seen and when I made an extremely scary decision she was there the entire time.
