Joy Ogbonnaya was an absolute blessing throughout my pregnancy journey. Her calm and compassionate presence provided invaluable emotional and physical support during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. She was always there with the right advice, soothing words, and practical help, making me feel empowered and cared for. Joy's deep understanding of my needs and commitment to ensuring my comfort made the entire experience more joyful. I couldn't have asked for a better doula to guide me through.

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the invaluable support Joy provided throughout my journey, particularly during my scheduled C-section and the postpartum period.
Her presence at my prenatal appointment and her unwavering support during the birth made a profound difference. I truly appreciate the time she took to attend to my needs and concerns. The home visits she provided afterward were incredibly reassuring, and her frequent check-ins via text ensured that I felt supported during this transformative time.
I will always remember how she gently spoon-fed me ice chips after the birth, a simple act that made me feel cared for and nourished. Her attentive listening and ability to seek out resources when I needed them were vital in navigating the challenges of new motherhood. Her lactation advice was particularly helpful, and I am grateful for her expertise and guidance.
Thank you for being such an integral part of my childbirth and postpartum experience. Your warmth, compassion, and dedication have left a lasting impact, and I feel fortunate to have had you by my side during this significant chapter of my life.

I met Joy in Feb 2024 and before we began working together officially she provided care, helpful information and resources as I navigated my first pregnancy. During our time together Joy provided an extraordinary amount of support and encouragement and connected me to a program where I would be able to utilize her services based on my current financial status. When I was induced unexpectedly, Joy remained by my side the entire time and continued to check in and offer emotional and phsyical support during active labor and later during my C section recovery. The way she continued to advocate for me and my health, as well as the wellbeing of my son and husband was nothing short of amazing, including coming to doctor appointments with me. I am forever grateful for her expertise, compassion and genuine spirit. Joy has been a blessing. As a black mother, the knowledge she provided for black maternal health was vital and allowed me to feel comfortable to utilize my voice and make sure I felt heard during my stay in the hospital. Joy reminded me often my health was also important as I only focused on my son's health. That really shifted things for me, and I am so appreciative of the work I have been able to have with her. On a personal note, having someone who has such a sweet demeanor and is very personable really calmed me down and allowed me to feel comfortable and emotionally supported. She absolutely goes the distance for her clients and makes you feel very well taken care of.

This is my third pregnancy but first time considering and utilizing a doula service. During my first and second pregnancy, a doula service was hard to get and the service details were not clear; I knew of midwives but didn't really heard of doulas. Even this time around, I was hesitant to utilize the service because I wasn't clear what doulas do but I'm glad I decided to use a doula. Joy was assigned to me; she accompanied me to 2-3 US and NST appointments, adviced me to make a birth plan, asked my permission to discuss and ask pertinent questions about my health issues to the obgyn which was helpful because at week 34 my brain was mushy and I was physically and mentally drained so her questions are questions I thought about but forgot to ask myself. Joy was with me at my appointments, inducement, labor post labor, and 2 postpartum visits to my house. again, she played a very intricate part of asking questions to each team that entered the room. She basically was advocating for my a every single point with my permission every time. I will definitely recommend a doula and Joy cause she was very professional, soft spoken but tough with her questions.

Joy was a huge help for me and my family. She provided overnight and daytime doula services for our twins at a time when we really needed it. We were able to get much needed sleep and know that our boys were in great hands. During the day she helped us implement a nap schedule and made sure the boys were meeting their monthly milestones. As a first time mom I was able to learn so much from Joy and truly feel that she has enabled me to be a more confident mom to my kids. It was also really fun to see her build a great relationship with the boys - we could tell that she genuinely cared for them like we did. We will miss having her around!

We had an amazing experience with Joy! Our family used her for help during the night which helped both my husband and I get the rest we needed. Joy was extremely kind and She truly cared about our baby as much as we did. She was always there to answer any questions I had as a new mom. I will definitely be staying in touch with Joy for future babies we have!
