After the birth of my first baby, my thought was, "I can't do this again." After the birth of my second baby, I couldn't wait to do it again! A huge difference was hiring Chelsea as my doula for my second. I couldn't believe how much she helped me through the contractions and how her positioning recommendations helped me progress. I realized that our medical system seems to know little about the natural process of child birth. Simple things like birthing positions and massaging the mom through contractions made a world of difference! I wanted to yell it from the rooftops. Chelsea was encouraging and helpful with guidance but not pushy. I went without medication until nitrous oxide during transition. My daughter just turned one, and I still think so fondly on that special day. I loved it. ?? I know it can't always be that wonderful, but it could be for so many more births. My advice: walk as much and as long as possible, try not to lie on your back, and hire Chelsea to help with the rest!

Chelsea was so, so wonderful to work with! We had our son a year ago and we couldn't have made it through labor the way we did without Chelsea's support. She was able to be a calming presence in the room as everything took it's course and my husband and I are so thankful for her insight and direction. Chelsea was super knowledgeable about pain management, coping strategies, stages of labor, and overall postpartum! Throughout labor, we felt like she was ready to jump in, but also was willing to let us navigate the stages on our own as a couple. She provided invaluable advice and was ready to pivot with us as our birth plan changed. I would highly recommend Chelsea as a doula! She's so incredibly kind and supportive, and we're so thankful that she was there with us during such an important moment in our lives!!!
