As first-time parents without a local support system, hiring Kate as our postpartum doula was one of the best decisions we made. From the very first day, her warm, kind, and calming presence instantly put our minds at ease during what can be an overwhelming transition. Kate is incredibly knowledgeable and informative, and she taught us so much about caring for our baby—always in a way that felt supportive and never judgmental.

Over the first couple of months of our son’s life, Kate truly felt like a member of our family. She guided us through early parenthood with compassion and confidence, helping us navigate everything from soothing our baby and changing diapers to cooking delicious meals and simply being a steady shoulder to lean on. Thanks to her, we now feel equipped an confident as parents, and we know we can always rely on Kate as a trusted helping hand.

We 100% recommend Kate to any parents, especially first-timers. Thank you, Kate!

I had the most wonderful experience with my doula - Kate Payne, and I honestly don’t know how I would have gotten through those first days / weeks without her. She gently helped me shower when I could barely move after my C-section, taught me how to bathe my daughter, and gave me so much helpful advice—from what foods to eat for healing to how to support good sleep and feeding habits. She made sure I actually napped and took care of myself, and even helped organize my home so everything was easier and more baby-friendly. She supported us with feeding, diapering, baby wearing, bonding, and all the little things that made such a big difference. She also jumped in with light housework, bottle prep, dishes, baby laundry, and even grocery shopping when needed. Her care, kindness, and calm presence made those early days feel doable, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything she did for our family. Thank you Kate!

We just gave birth to our first child, a baby boy. We hired Kate during my second trimester, and she was an invaluable resource throughout my pregnancy. She helped us create our baby registry, find a Lactation Consultant, and was accessible and prompt in responding to any questions we had as we prepare prepared for birth.

She then joined us in our home the day after our son was born. It was like having a family member in the house from the start – she knew what we needed before we asked, brought a calming and confident presence, knew how to find where everything was in our apartment, and was extremely helpful and organized from the start. She helped us with everything from learning how to soothe the baby, feeding, using all of the different equipment, how to sanitize and clean everything, how to best organize the nursery, baby laundry and baths, making sure that I was well fed and hydrated at all times, and answering any and every question that we have had as the baby develops.

She is extremely knowledgeable about what to expect at each stage and has lots of tips and tricks for how to keep the baby clean, safe, stimulated, well fed, and happy. She was such a valuable resource to us that we extended her contract a month and would have extended it further if she wasn't already booked with other clients. I have told all my friends that you absolutely need a daytime Doula during postpartum and I cannot recommend Kate enough!

Kate was a wonderful addition to our newborn bubble! As first-time parents, things can sometimes feel a bit nerve-racking, but we felt so confident handing our son over to Kate. She brought a calm, reassuring presence into our home from the very first visit.

Even before our baby arrived, Kate came to our home to help us prepare—offering invaluable advice on what we truly needed and helping us get everything set up for when we came home from the hospital.

Kate cooked us delicious, nourishing meals—always making sure I (mom) was eating enough to keep my energy up and support recovery. Her care and attention to both baby and parents were deeply appreciated.

She was so great with our son, and watching her interact with him gave us the confidence to begin our parenting roles!

We are so grateful for her care and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to any new family looking for thoughtful, knowledgeable postpartum support.

If you are thinking about hiring a postpartum doula, look no further - Kate is incredible and the one! I will be singing her praises and recommending her to all moms forever. She managed to transform a very overwhelming, new, and unknown time for me and made the newborn phase manageable and even more importantly, as a first time mom, put me at ease. She is kind, thoughtful, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and someone you want to be around. I had never been around babies before, so learning from Kate was invaluable. She was so sweet with my baby girl and helped us establish a routine and simply just how to take care of a baby. She taught us tips and tricks like how to swaddle, how to encourage nap time, how to give a bath, how to clip her nails, how to work the breastfeeding pump, the list goes on - any question I had, Kate was prepared to support. Doing things like this for the first time with Kate, a true baby whisperer, built up my confidence and made me feel extremely supported in this new journey. When unforeseen things came up, she was a steady presence and I could count on her to help me in any situation. She is a joy to spend time with and especially when having someone in your home, I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoyed spending time with her. She has an innate way of knowing what needs to be done and what I needed most - encouraging me to rest, making a nutritious meal, listening to my struggles and making me feel heard and cared for. Her help around the house like making dinners for us and tidying up also allowed my husband and I to be able to lean into this special and unique (and sometimes scary!) time and be able to fully enjoy it.

Kate is wonderful and is the best decision I made postpartum. I can't thank her enough for all of the help, support and care she provided for my family and I feel so lucky to have had her and would highly recommend her to any family!

I honestly don’t know how I would’ve survived those first six weeks without Kate. From day one, she felt like a trusted friend who just happened to be an absolute baby genius. Every morning she’d arrive with that sunshine-in-her-smile energy, ready to tackle my ever-growing laundry pile and whip up the most comforting meals I could dream of—everything from protein-packed breakfasts to those cozy soups that warmed me to my bones.

But the best part? Watching her with my baby. She somehow knew exactly how to soothe my little one’s hiccups and fussy spells—rocking, swaddling, gentle shushing—like she’d been a baby whisperer her whole life. And she let me take that long-overdue bath I desperately needed! Thank god.

If you’re looking for someone who will hold your baby so you can breathe, who’ll nourish your body and your spirit, and who’ll make you laugh when you’re barely keeping your eyes open—Kate is your person. I’ll be forever grateful for her support, her tips, and that big heart of hers.

As a first time single mom I was stressing about the first weeks of motherhood. I knew I needed help and was set on working with a postpatrum doula. I'm beyond grateful that people reccommended Kate. She made the transition from the hospital to home seemless. Kate is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in taking care of newborns but also manages to gracefully balance putting foward the needs of moms as well.  She helped and snuggled my sweet baby girl, took care of me when I didn't remmeber to eat, attended appointments with me, held my hand through the trails of breastfeeding, gave sage advice and was a friendly shoulder to cry on when I needed it.  It is difficult to let someone new into your home but with Kate I never felt that hesitatation. She comes from a place of experience, helpfullness and genuine caring.  I could not reccomend a better postpartum doula.

Hiring a postpartum doula was by far the best decision we made for our postpartum period, and Kate is beyond amazing in every single way. She really helps in every way helping me heal, helping every aspect with baby, making meals, and just helping out with everything and anything around the house. She truly served as an extension of myself in my home and really helped us keep our home running smoothly. Her meals are amazing and well thought out for a breastfeeding mom

Kate was an absolute livesaver for us. We were so incredibly grateful to have her join our family for the crazy early postpartum days with our second child. Kate is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. She is also remarkably industrious -- I had no idea that someone could get so much done with a newborn strapped to their body. She was wonderful with our newborn, and also very helpful with our toddler. Kate completely saved my sanity when my husband went back to work and I was so sleep-deprived. Thanks to Kate, I was able to do things like shower, nap, eat, pump, and have special one-on-one time with my toddler. It was particularly crucial to have an extra set of hands around since I was recovering from a c-section. I sincerely do not know what we would have done without her. Her support helped me work on building up my breastmilk supply and reduce overall stress in the household. If we are insane enough to have a third child, we will be calling Kate to set up another contract with her. We were very sad to say goodbye at the end of our contract. Kate would be a wonderful addition to anyone's postpartum care team, and I am telling every pregnant person I know about her. Thank you so much for all of your care and support, Kate! Thanks to you, I was able to be a human during early postpartum! A remarkable feat!

Having Kate as a postpartum doula was the most incredible experience. Even as a mum of 4, I so appreciated her expertise and encouragement when settling into life with a new baby. And I really truly needed the rest! Knowing I could sleep while she cared for Florence and got the house feeling so tidy and fresh was the greatest gift for a new parent! The sessions with Kate allowed me to have such a positive, calm start to life with the baby. Kate is so kind, cooks delicious food and sees what needs to be done, lifting such a weight off our shoulders!

As a first time mum with no family nearby, I was lacking the confidence, knowledge and support during the first few weeks of parenthood.

From the first meet and greet, I knew Kate would be an invaluable help and she absolutely was. From showing me how to file newborn nails safely, to soothing my son during hospital visits, cooking nutritious meals to help with post birth healing, and much more, she went above and beyond daily to ensure myself and the baby were nurtured and cared for. My favourite part was the booklet filled with helpful articles, links and knowledge that I could refer to as a guide. Oh and the lactation cookies!

If you are looking for a post partum doula, Kate is the one. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone and will definitely be hiring her again if we have another child.
