Sondra is amazing! First time mom and I had her as my postpartum doula. She knows what a new family need when they come home from the hospital with a new baby. Understandings,  helpful and support you in anyway she can. I personally had struggles feeding my newborn and she was there to encourage and give you positive words to carry on. Not just physically, she's also someone with personal and professional experience to talk to when you have questions and concerns, especially for the whole new life ahead. Supports you emotionally and listen to your needs, which are important to me and she's there! Thank you Sondra!

We’re first time parents living far away from our families and it would not be an exaggeration to say that Sondra’s services were absolutely crucial.

Sondra’s birth services included a few prenatal visits and we found them both to be really helpful.  One of them spent mostly going over our birth plan, which was great because our hospital pre-registration asked a ton of questions regarding our preference and we were bewildered by most of them.  Sondra clarified everything and helped give us suggestions for stuff we didn’t feel strongly about.  By the end we had a really clear-cut plan.

Sondra also really helped us figure out alternative birthing positions, lactation techniques and showed me (husband) how to apply counter pressure for my wife when contractions came about, which was useful because they lasted for days before my wife actually delivered.  Sondra was super communicative throughout this long labor and came over as soon as they started to help give pointers on how to ease the pain and when to go to the hospital.

Once we were admitted to the hospital Sondra set up a really nice ambiance with candles, scented oil and music.  I was really glad she was there for active labor because she was comforting and encouraging my wife the entire time and also made sure that the hospital staff was staying on track with our birth plan preferences when we were too frazzled to remember.  Contractions had lasted so long before hospital admission that both of us were exhausted when it was gametime, having an experienced advocate there was invaluable.

Sondra also visited us after we’d brought our daughter home and we had a ton of questions for her, which she answered easily.  We’re extremely satisfied with the help she provided us and would recommend it to anyone, especially new parents.

I am so incredibly grateful to have found Sondra! I originally wanted a low-intervention birth, but that didn't go to plan as I ended up needing a medical induction at early term due to a high-risk pregnancy and a baby who was going to grow better on the outside. Sondra provided so much physical and emotional support through needing a foley bulb, awful transition contractions that were happening on top of each other, getting an epidural, and of course pushing. She had an answer for every question and provided so many resources, was respectful of all my wishes, and helped get breastfeeding/pumping off to a great start at our postpartum visit.

The thing I wanted most out of my birth experience was to feel like myself again as quickly as possible (I personally did not enjoy pregnancy at all), and a lot of puzzle pieces came together for that to happen - a big one was Sondra. My recovery was really smooth, and that's partially because Sondra helped me make the right choices at the right time during my labor.

I never thought I would be the kind of person who would hire a doula (it's a little "crunchy" for my taste, and I hate spending money haha), but I am incredibly glad I ended up finding Sondra and would absolutely have her again for any future pregnancies I may have!! I admit to have been wrong about doulas being crunchy and honestly think everybody should have one if they can find one like Sondra. She is absolutely worth every penny!

Having the right support during childbirth is invaluable, and our doula Sondra was the embodiment of strength, comfort, and expertise throughout an intensely challenging birth experience. For four grueling hours of pushing, she was by our side, offering words of encouragement, guiding us through each contraction with breath and focus, and providing the physical support needed to endure the demands of labor.

When our baby needed to be taken to the NICU, Sondra’s presence became even more crucial. She navigated this emotional and unexpected turn with incredible sensitivity and grace, ensuring we understood what was happening every step of the way. Her ability to offer reassurance, coupled with her knowledge of neonatal care, helped us to stay calm and connected to our baby, even when we couldn’t be physically together.

Sondra's unwavering support and guidance were integral to our birth experience. Her presence allowed us to focus on the strength and love that brought our baby into the world, even amidst the challenge and pain. We are forever grateful for her compassionate care and the peacefulness she brought into our lives at a time when we needed it most.
