We are able to provide reduced cost doula services to low-income pregnant people in Maine and beyond by connecting doulas-in-training with families in need. Community Doulas operates on a sliding scale so that doula support is accesasible for all. Your contribution helps to provide doulas for those could not otherwise afford them. So not only do you get the support you need, you also help to support another pregnant person through their journey.

I had the pleasure of using Community Doulas for delivery and postpartum. I ended up having a scheduled c section. As a first time parent, with no family locally it was very emotionally and mentally reassuring to have Melanie present for myself and partner. She helped us with latching and waited until I was ready for her to leave. Postpartum she was very helpful with her knowledge, chores, breast feeding, tummy time, meal prepping, baby wearing, and emotional support. I highly recommend reaching out to community doulas with all your questions and seeing if their services are a good fit for your needs/wants.
