Vanessa is a real life angel. I spent a long time looking for a postpartum doula who aligned with my parenting style when I was pregnant with my son, and when I found Vanessa I knew immediately they were the person for us. My son Skye was meant to be born at home, however after an extremely long multi-day labor he ended up being born in the hospital. We had planned for Vanessa to come the night Skye was born but because of my hospital stay we were delayed in coming home. Vanessa came as soon as we arrived home and tended to my son but also to me and my big emotions and healing body that were a result of my long and strenuous labor and delivery. They massaged my neck and shoulders in the middle of the night when I was in agony from holding so much tension there, they made me delicious oat drinks and snacks to help bring in my milk, and most importantly they cared for my baby as if he was their own. I was blessed with the gift of having Vanessa in my home with us for two weeks and in that time, I trusted my son to be with very few people, however, Vanessa was one of those people. I did not worry when he was with her because I knew the quality of care and attention he was receiving. We also did a transformative closing of the bones ceremony together which was incredibly special and something I will remember forever. Vanessa used strong and sweet herbs for a bath, sang to me, and knotted cloth around my womb area to knit the bones back in place after my fourth trimester. We prayed and sang together, and in those moments I will remember my postpartum and matrescence as being magical and beautiful, thanks in large part to the work of the lovely Vanessa.

Vanecita fue una de las personas más increíbles que conocí ,gracias por Aver sido mi dula jamás olvidaré de su buen y excelente trabajo que ella lo ase , estoy muy agradecida  por Aver compartido con mi bebé que hasta ahora lo queremos y no solo fue una trabajadora si no ella se robó nuestros corazones y siempre lo vamos a extrañar gracias mi querida Vanecita por todo.

Vanessa is a wonderful doula who approached our new family with thoughtful advice and lots of calming energy. As a first time mom her overnight support was invaluable. She taught my partner and me infant sleeping tips, tricks for gassy babies, and cesarean recovery advice including resources for pelvic exercises. Vanessa also created homemade bath blends for both myself and my baby, which were so lovely. She was super responsive and offered advice between sessions. I would absolutely recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for a doula!

Vanessa supported me as a night doula for the first three months of my daughter’s life. As a single mom, I can’t imagine going through that time without her. She was informative and proactive about seeking answers to my questions; taught me how to wrap my LO & use my manual breast pump; cared for baby with loving kindness, and made me feel better-equipped to handle motherhood. She was punctual, a great communicator, and made those not-so-easy, sleep-scarce early days a lot more manageable.

Vanessa is just the most amazing person to have as a doula. They helped me through some rough times during the first few week of my postpartum as a single mother living in the shelter and doing this all by myself. She never judged me, never made me feel uncomfortable, was very supportive, and a great listener.

She has done a lot for me and was there while I was in the shelter and also when I got my new apartment. words can't explain how much I appreciate her not only was she a great doula but a great friend YES FRIEND!

She didn't make it seem like she was working for me she made it seem like she was helping a friend-family in need and that's what we need. She just made everything thing a lot easier for me I can really say that me and my daughter love and appreciate everything she has done
