Working with Halie was one of the greatest gifts of our birthing experience. As we prepared for the birth of our daughter, from the moment we hopped on a call with Halie, I was put at ease. During the call, I remember tearing up hearing her talk about the experience of birth and her supportive role in pregnancy and birth. Her philosophy of birth and emphasis on the sacredness of it all helped calm me and put hope in my heart for a beautiful birth experience (which we had!). Throughout pregnancy, Halie was invaluable. She visited our home to provide education and resources, maintained regular check-ins, and was a sounding board for pregnancy concerns. When I was convinced our daughter would arrive early (she actually came 10 days late), Halie's patience was unwavering. She helped calm my anxieties and encouraged us to embrace the natural timing. On the day of birth, Halie created a serene and sacred atmosphere in our home. She guided me through contractions, supported my husband, prepared tea, tidied our space, and accompanied us on neighborhood walks to progress my labor. My prayer for our birth experience was that we would sense the Lord's presence, and by the Lord's grace, we felt it embodied through Halie's physical and emotional support. At the hospital, she waited with us through a very long labor and a prolonged pushing phase, She advocated for my birth preferences, helped me move through contractions, cultivated a peaceful environment amid the clinical setting, and supported my husband. When Halie left after my daughter was born, we were so sad to say goodbye. We are convinced doula work is holy work, and we can't imagine doing this without her.

I worked with Halie as my birth doula. My husband and I knew from the first conversation that we wanted to work with her. She has a very calming presence and I immediately felt very comfortable talking with her. As a nervous first time mom (and my husband being a nervous first time dad), we were grateful for her calming energy. She was an incredible support prior to delivery, checking in via text regularly and meeting with us twice to go over birth and postpartum planning. She supported my decisions and provided us with education/resources while working through my birth plan. 

Day of delivery she was available as soon as I called her. She was an incredible physical and emotional support during the entire labor experience. I honestly don’t know if I could have made it through an unmedicated birth without her! I’m so thankful for her capturing my daughter’s birth and moments of us three immediately after. Postpartum, she checked in on us while in the hospital and once we were home, even bringing us a yummy meal. My experience couldn’t have been better and I’m so grateful for all of her help and support bringing my daughter into the world :) I can't recommend Halie enough!
