We had a great experience working with Sarina. She provided our family post-partum support as well as a prenatal session. The prenatal session was very informative and gave us a lot of good tips and comfort measures that we used when we went to the hospital.

As sleep-deprived parents with a newborn, the post partum sessions were invaluable to us. Having Sarina help us, especially overnight, made a huge difference.  Our daughter adjusted really well to Sarina, who had a kind, compassionate, and calm demeanor, and so we were able to sleep knowing that our our daughter was really well taken care of. Sarina kept a detailed, shared document in real time, of everything that was happening (feeding, eating, sleeping, diaper changes, etc.) so if I could see it or refer back to it. Sarina also gave us a lot of tips and information around feeding and sleeping which was very helpful for us, as we are first time parents. Sarina also made light snacks and did light laundry and some other helpful things during the sessions. Overall, we had a great experience with Sarina and wish we had more time with her!

My wife and I were fortunate enough to work with Mariposa Doula Care shortly after the birth of our son in November 2023. We sought out her postpartum doula services as my wife was wanting one-on-one guidance using her breast pump.  Sarina came over several nights and thoroughly explained every facet of the breast pump and how to assemble and care for its parts.  She sat with my wife through pumping sessions and was even able to determine which flange to buy as the pump came with incompatible sizes.  Sarina’s patience and willingness to meet us where we were at as we navigated new parenthood made us feel at ease and well taken care of.  We recommend Mariposa Doula Care to everyone we meet and look forward to possibly working with her prenatally should we become pregnant in the future.

We had a wonderful experience working with Sarina and would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone! She provided kind, warm, non-judgmental support throughout our journey. She was incredibly present in both the mental and physical sense, even when my labor ended up being a much longer process than any of us signed up for.

We felt comfortable with Sarina from the moment we met her and knew we could trust her during the most vulnerable time in our lives. She listened to and validated us every step of the way. When I learned I would need to be induced at 37 weeks she jumped into action and helped us adjust to a totally new birth plan. She was a steady, reassuring presence throughout the 2.5 days of my induction. My husband and I were so comforted by her advocacy and support. When I ultimately needed a c section, she provided vital emotional support and information about what to expect.

Her postpartum support was indispensable. She taught us practical skills including how to bathe our baby in our space, how to baby wear, and how to use my pump. She also was a calming, reassuring presence and helped us process our birth and cope with the stress and fatigue of becoming parents. We’re so happy we worked with Sarina and can’t imagine this experience without her.

Sarina was outstanding during my hospital birth!  Since I ended up being induced at the last minute, she provided invaluable virtual support throughout my 24+ hour labor.  I am a first time mom so I had no idea what to expect, nevertheless during an early induction. We communicated by text and she was always responsive, especially when I needed advice on what my options were at every "fork in the road."  I had a relatively difficult labor (in my opinion), so having her knowledge in my back pocket was truly a big help!  She made sure to check in with me periodically as well, just to see how things were progressing.  I am so grateful for her support and guidance.  If I ever have another baby, I'll definitely want to work with her again!  Thank you so much, Sarina!
