Kristin made our birth experience so amazing! From our prenatal appointments, to our time together during labour and delivery, and our postpartum visit, Kristin was kind, comforting, patient and caring! I always felt so comfortable and at ease with her. Kristin was always available when we needed her, and truly made our experience so positive. She went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for and comfortable during our stay at the hospital. I would highly recommend Kristin to anyone looking for support during their pregnancy, labour and/or postpartum experience.

Words cannot fully express our gratitude for Kristin's support throughout our birth journey. While our experience differed greatly from our original "plan," Kristin's unwavering guidance made us feel empowered and supported every step of the way. From our first meeting, Kristin's warm demeanor and wealth of knowledge put us at ease. She took the time to understand our wishes, while also helping us prepare for various scenarios that might arise. Her balanced approach – neither pushing an agenda nor judging our choices – created a foundation of trust that proved invaluable when circumstances changed. When our plan needed to shift, Kristin's steady presence was our anchor. She helped us navigate decisions with clarity and confidence, translating complex information into understandable terms and ensuring our voices were heard. Her extensive knowledge of comfort measures and positioning techniques proved invaluable. What truly sets Kristin apart is her remarkable ability to read the room, and provide exactly what's needed in any moment – whether that's physical support, emotional encouragement, or clarifying details with medical staff. I write this while I lay next to my sleeping 3 month old baby that Kristin helped get here earth side. 

When we first met Kristin she had a very warm presence that followed her all throughout our meetings, my labour, birth, post partum and beyond. As first time parents we didn't know what to fully expect but you could count on Kristin to answer your questions and cushion any concerns. She was the most valuable during my labour as she supported both myself and partner physically and emotionally. Having her calm voice and confident reassurance helped guide me throughout the unknowns of labour. She pays attention to detail from remembering our preferences from our questionnaire and you can tell she is passionate and loves what she does when her face lights up when  speaking about her job.

When the big day came I felt very supported having her answer my 3am calls.  It was also helpful having her make suggestions on positioning and pain relief during labour as I was so in the moment my brain couldn't think on what to do next. 

We are forever grateful for Kristin's supportive doula services during this very special time in our lives. I can't imagine going through all of that without her.

Kristin is a wonderful doula she is so nice and helpful, she came to see me after I had my baby at the hospital although I had my baby fast at home but she came to see me at the hospital and helped me

Kristin and Arva prepared my husband and I for labour and birth. After the first time speaking with them, I knew I was in the right hands.  Birth, for me, is a ceremony that I was able to figure out elements that I would like to have to honour that.

When I went into labour, I was texting Kristin updates. She was so kind and let me know she'd be there for support whenever I needed her. When she arrived, she was so supportive. She helped me try different labour positions. 

Since birth never goes as planned, Kristin made sure I was confident and sure when I needed to adjust my birth plan. She supported me in voicing my needs with the other healthcare providers. Kristin also made sure my husband was supported and knew how to support me.

Birthing my daughter was the most beautiful experience of my life. It was also the best experience I've ever had in a hospital. I'm so grateful for Kristin! I will definitely recommend her and reach out when I'm ready for my next child!

Kristin’s incredible support and care made all the difference during the birth of our child. From the very beginning, Kristin was a positive presence, providing not only practical guidance but also emotional reassurance. Her ability to create a structured plan while remaining flexible to our needs was very much appreciated.

Kristin brought such a positive and calm energy as soon as she arrived. She was so supportive, spoke encouraging words, gave me advice on easing the pain of labour and also took lots of photos for us. She helped me feel calm and supported. Kristin was the doula for our first baby and made the whole experience less scary! Kristin made sure to go over everything with us prior, made sure that she knew all of our preferences, and was there helping and advocating for us throughout labour. I was experiencing a fair amount of back pain with every contraction and she came to our home in early labour to make suggestions on positions, pain management and things to help labour along and stayed by our sides for the whole 21 hours of labour!
 I would highly recommend Kristin, if we hadn't had her our birth experience could have easily been a negative one!

Kristin is a wonderful doula who made this whole experience so much more comfortable. It was great to have a steady person to go to and ask questions. She provided us with lots of information and did all she could to make sure I was well taken care off before, during and after birth. She is a great listener with an amazing personality. Kirstin was the most wonderful human during my birth. It definitely didn't go to plan but having her there to support me and help explain what was going on was more then impactful and helpful during it. She stayed after to help me with breast feeding and made me feel completely Comfortable. My baby was healthy and happy. Thank you Kirstin for all your help!

Kristin helped me through one of the toughest obstacles I've ever had to overcome in my life. I was a surrogate for a same sex couple from Quebec, and in November 2023 I gave birth to their absolutely stunning baby girl at the Comox Valley Hospital.

Kristin was my doula through the end of my pregnancy and through my labour, and she was absolutely incredible. Kristin has this amazing ability to sense what you want or need before you even know it yourself. She is one of the most kind, supportive, and understanding human beings I've ever met. She was adaptable even when I called her at 4:30am, she met us at the hospital.

I couldn't have asked for a better doula for my surrogacy journey, and I hope to have her as a doula again for any future surrogacy births or the birth of my own future babies.

If I could recommend Kristin as doula to every first time mother, I would. She was a 20/10. Kristin is an amazing, intelligent, hard-working and compassionate person. When the doula that I had hired fell through days before my due date, Kristin stepped in to take over and I'm forever grateful for that. She got to know me and my husband and our birth plans and preferences in a very short amount of time, and she worked hard to make us feel safe, comfortable, and understood. During my 27 hour labour and birth, Kristin was by our side tirelessly supporting my husband and I both as I laboured at home and at the hospital. She was helpful in recommending a variety of labour positions and pain management techniques, and she was always there to give me the encouragement I needed when I felt like I couldn't do it. I'm so grateful for Kristin and her kind and beautiful soul. If you are looking for a selfless, strong, and compassionate doula, look no further!

Kristin accompanied and supported us during the birth of our daughter and we could not have been more grateful for her presence. We absolutely recommend her as a doula. She was amazingly kind, knowledgeable and available. She was also very considerate of our special situation of surrogacy and created a safe and positive space for us intended parents and our surrogate. Kristin helped us prepare for the birth, facilitated communication and we appreciated so much how attentive she was to our surrogate’s needs, attending to her comfort, encouraging her and advocating for her. She also took very precious photos. It was a beautiful meeting in this very intense, special and life chaning moment.

Kristin was and is an absolute gem. I have never had a doula but this time around I decided I needed one. Each time that we met I felt reassured and in great hands. She is compassionate, personable, attentive and very professional in what's she does. She checked on my regularly when I was approaching my due date and followed up with me many times. We went over my needs and wants during this pregnancy and a beat was not skipped. I recommend Kristin and I know you will have the same lovely experience I had with her. Kristin was amazing and provided support to me from the moment we started working together and even after my baby came. She met with me and made sure to ask me for my opinion on how I would like every step of the labour and childbirth process to take place. She ensured to consider my cultural difference and genuinely embraced it. This made me feel assured that my voice would be heard and that I would be advocated for during the childbirth process. She took the time to do some exercises with me, provided immense support during the labor process and was there every step of the way. Her techniques for embracing the labor pains were very helpful. After my baby came, she was kind enough to provide support to me at home. My partner and I will forever be grateful to Kristin for being there for that life changing journey.

We used Kristin Osolin for the birth of our third child.  Having Kristin as my dula was an incredible experience, she was kind and calm but confident in her skills.  She was a big advocate for me and was so supportive.  Kristin has a beautiful gift of bringing your partner in to feel apart of the birthing experience.... she used her expertise to make your partner feel confident in how to support you. Kristin went above and beyond at making sure your voice was heard.  I feel so incredibly blessed that Kristin was there for the birth of my son.  She knew wonderful techniques to relieve pain, she was filled with love , support and pure joy during the entire day , she took beautiful photos and videos , and her tender heart shined so brightly.  I felt like I could look to her to bring me a confidence in my decision and a peace that she brought to the room.  Having Kristin as my doula was such a gift and I'm forever grateful for her.
