I help families enter parenthood feeling confident, grounded, and supported — not just surviving it. My birth package includes everything you need before, during, and after labor: prenatal visits in your home, continuous labor support, digital resources for labor, postpartum, and lactation, and follow-up care after your baby arrives. My postpartum package goes beyond basic newborn help. As a trained perinatal herbalist, I bring healing tools that serve your healing journey — yoni steams, sitz baths, full body herbal soaks, and massage — alongside emotional support, baby care guidance, breastfeeding assistance, and help keeping your household running while you heal. My goal is simple: when we're done working together, I want you to feel like your transition into parenthood was fully honored — and that you're stepping into this new chapter as a confident, capable parent.

Post a testimonial for Kayla Brookins

We hired Kayla for postpartum support, because we didn't have family close by. It was so nice to have her here to help with everything (from household chores to emotional support) for a few hours one or twice a week. During the initial consultation, she made sure all our questions were answered. We were also able to discuss exactly what kind of support would be the most helpful for us. She is such a kind person, and I highly recommend her services.

When I first met Kayla I was 20 something weeks pregnant with my second child. I was beginning to consider how realistic a VBAC at the hospital was going to be. I realized I wanted an advocate, so as not to repeat the same issues of my first c-section birth and that I should get a Doula. During that first interview, I told her some of my concerns that I wouldn’t be heard at the hospital and she assured me that birthing in a place that I felt safe in was the most important thing. Kayla then held space for me and my husband and was a sounding board for the next two months of transformation. During that time I realized I wanted to pursue a homebirth. This desire brought conflict with my partner which Kayla helped us work through. It also led me to many roadblocks of providers not accepting my VBAC status at home. Kayla encouraged me to keep trying and did research on various providers in the greater area that could help me. When I finally did find someone who would work with me at my home Kayla was there for every twist and turn. She witnessed me prioritize motherhood, and step away from my job, and really helped me tune in to my spiritual alignment. Kayla was a wise friend to walk with on my own self awareness journey. She helped me develop the tools that I needed to turn inward and harness my own power to manifest the magical homebirth that I eventually achieved. Her confidence in me was something that never wavered even though my birth journey and pregnancy journey that took many turns. Her presence at the birth was gentle, quiet, and kind. She arrived before the Midwife and held my hand and offered me water and quietly whispered affirmations that I was doing it. This is all that I needed and wanted.
