I can't help but pour my heart out about Yaquel. She wasn't just there for me, she was my strength from the very first contraction to the moments that followed after our baby was born. I was scared about having a traumatic birth, I saw so many terrible stories about birth that it was hard to stay positive. I had desired for so long to be a mother and I wanted this experience to be wonderful I wanted it to be good, I wanted it to be something I was proud of. I wanted a water birth at a birth center no epidural just me and my body doing what God designed me to do. Without Yaquel I don't think my birth would have been as great as it was, she was my teacher, my companion, my voice, my strength, my helper, and my advocate she was great and i was able to have a great birth and recovery because of her. She had me do exercises and massages to prepare my body and help the baby get in position. And boy, did they help! I  pushed only for an hour and a half. She was like a superwoman. She went above and beyond, She was so wonderful and the part I liked most is that she showed my husband what to do. She made the moment about us and looking back on the great birth I had it would not have been the same without her. It was like she understood my desires without me having to say a word. From the exercises she had me do to rubbing my feet, helping me manage the pain, guiding my husband, being my advocate when I was out of it, to caring for me and the baby. I can't thank Yaquel enough for filling those moments with so much love and warmth. She's forever etched in the story of our family, and for that, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. She is the whole package she was in every detail making sure the moment I had hoped for so many years was just as amazing and beautiful as I wanted it to be but to my surprise, it was even better than I had imagined all thanks to the one who poured all of her heart, effort and thought on to everything she did, what a treasure she is.
