I am a registered nurse and work part time as a birth assistant for a local midwifery group. My experience as a nurse allows me to navigate conversations healthcare staff, decode medical jargon, and provides me with a greater understanding of medical interventions, medications, and comfortability in the hospital setting. As a birth assistant (separate work from nursing), I assist midwives at the birth center and home births. I assist the attending midwife with labor, birth, post partum care, and newborn care. My experience as a birth assistant has taught me how to support unmedicated births and out of hospital births. I share my work history because both careers have provided experience that has shaped me into a well rounded, knowledgeable doula. I am here to support any type of birth you want, whether it be medicated or unmedicated, at the hospital or your home, vaginal delivery or elective C-section - I want you to feel prepared, heard, supported, and safe.

Fee Details

This rate includes two prenatal meetings, labor, birth, and one post partum visit. It also includes on going support via phone call and text throughout your pregnancy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
