Rachele came into my life when I least expected it. When we first met, I was over thirty weeks pregnant. My partner and I had been searching for a midwife, doula, or some form of birth support system to help us through the laboring process and ease our minds as first time parents. We were searching for that one-on-one experience. Looking for an un-medicated, natural, intervention-free birthing experience. Unfortunately, living in a small urban setting, we could not find many options where we were located. 

Out of the blue, Rachele came into my life when I most needed her, and at the time, it was like a prayer had been listened to. She and I sat down at our local park, getting to know each other, one-on-one, laying out a plan of what my partner and I wanted from our labor and birth experience, educating me on all options, what to expect, what not to worry about, breathing, laboring, and birthing techniques, and my rights as a laboring and birthing woman.
It was so relieving having someone I felt a bond with sit down, educate me, and be eager to be a part of our support team.

Rachele was "on-call" the time leading up to my due date. When I went into labor, she was there by my side in the comfort of my own home, helping me keep active and labor down until it was time to move things to the hospital. This is where the real team work came in. All of those breathing techniques, and different positions: Rachele was hands on, guiding me through each and every contraction up until the time came to push. My family and Rachele were all by my side, cheering me on.

What I can say about Rachele is that she makes sure each and every individual/family she works with is comfortable, informed, supported, and treated like her own family.
