It's been just over 2 months since my little one made her grand entrance into this world, and I can't imagine my birthing experience without the support of Mariah!
As a first time mother, I knew there were many variables that can happen during labor and wanted to best prepared. I also knew that in order for me to feel at most peace in bringing life into this world, I would need a trusted, educated, and experienced doula (and hubby!). Not only is Mariah all of those things, but she's also an incredibly kind and nurturing human.
Mariah listened to my goals and helped craft a wonderful birth plan. She assured while her purpose is to be supportive and best follow my plan, she's not there to make decisions for me. She let me know she will talk through any interventions that may come up so that I could make the most informed decision. I absolutely loved this.
I had a short labor. Contractions started at 1:30am on August 1, was in the hospital by 4:30am at almost 5cm dilated and 80% effaced. Hubby texted Mariah and she was there in less than an hour! She helped transform the birthing suite into a peaceful environment, made sure I was always hydrated and helped reposition me in all the many ways. And most importantly--she did all this so that my husband could hold my hand throughout it all. We both were first time parents and I wanted him to fully experience the awe of his first child coming into this world. It was absolutely perfect.
She also made two postpartum visits which helped us out SO much. We were lost with all the bottle pieces, how to properly baby wear, how to pump...everything. Those first few days were such a haze and we're incredibly grateful for Mariah guiding us through them.
If you can get her on your team, consider yourself extremely lucky. I’ll forever look back to the birth of my daughter and have the most fond memories of my experience because of Mariah.

Might have another baby just to work with Mariah again!
Mariah was a phenomenal doula - from the education (FTM) around birth plans, the Seattle hospital vibes, and labor preparation, to the on-site support, my birth was a wonderful experience thanks to her.
I felt understood and supported through the whole process and Mariah really helped with anxiety and guidance (based on my birth preferences) when I ended up needing an induction. She had great tools to help with labor and was able to expertly leverage the onsite ammenities like the birthing tub and support beams. You will be in great hands with Mariah (literally because her hip squeeze technique was my main coping mechanism, pushed my husband out of the way when contractions got serious).
Mariah was thoughtful and attentive and her after birth visits were essential for easing into motherhood with confidence.
I also appreciate that Mariah took a few photos to look back on, since birth is such a blur and my husband and I wanted to focus on the experience.

From the moment we met Mariah, we knew we were in the best of hands. Her presence is calm, steady, and full of warmth — like a deep breath you didn’t know you needed. Throughout our journey to welcome our daughter Elfi into the world, Mariah was a true anchor.
Our prenatal meetings with her were more than just check-ins; they felt like quiet islands of reassurance in the sometimes stormy sea of pregnancy. Mariah listened deeply, offered wisdom without pressure, and helped us feel prepared not only with information, but with confidence in ourselves and each other. She held space for both the practical and the emotional — the big questions and the small worries — with such grace.
When Elfi’s birth day arrived, Mariah was right there by our side, weaving together intuition, skill, and deep care. Her gentle touch, grounding voice, and unwavering support made all the difference. She knew when to step in and when to hold back, when to offer a massage or a word of encouragement, when to advocate, and when to simply be present. We truly felt held — and so did our baby, from the very beginning.
And in the precious, disorienting early days postpartum, Mariah continued to show up with kindness, comfort, and real nourishment — in every sense of the word. She brought calm into our home, gently helped us navigate feeding and recovery, and even cooked delicious meals that felt like hugs on a plate. Her care was holistic, generous, and filled with love.
Mariah, we are endlessly grateful for you. Thank you for walking with us, for believing in us, and for loving little Elfi so tenderly from the very start. You helped us step into parenthood feeling grounded, supported, and deeply cared for. We can't imagine this journey without you.
With all our hearts,
Jennie, Ani and Baby Elfi

Cultivated so much love and connection in our home, our entire family got to experience postpartum bliss. Mariah blended in seamlessly to the ever revolving needs of our full household, with 4 children under 6, including a newborn, there is an abundance to keep up with, Mariah navigated this with such joy and grace, we felt like we were blessed with the perfect additional family member. Mariah’s care is loving, warm, intuitive, celebratory, and deep, their giant heart, deep compassion, unending commitment and generosity is deeply impactful. Mariah supported us through so many shifts, challenges and overwhelm with the most attuned support and encouragement. They brought me delicious food that nourished my heart and healing in addition to cooking for my family every single day for nearly 7 months. They kept our home not only in functioning order but a place that felt filled with joy, laughter, love and safety. They more attuned to me and my needs then any hired support person or provider ever has been, making me tea, refilling my water, ensuring I was eating, had rest and lending an ear to the vast transitions. Mariah gave the most beautiful queer affirming care, something I had been missing in my life until now, that made the whole family feel safe and authentically connected in an upheaval of a time. Mariah made it possible for us to thrive in our postpartum, a memory and moment in time I will truly cherish forever. Mariah, you are the auntie, sister, brother, friend, playmate, 3rd parent, emergency contact we have all been missing in our lives, your care is priceless and the impacts will last a lifetime. We love you and hope to know you forever now. ??

We could not have been happier with our experience with Mariah. She was so sweet with our daughter and the nights she would come were always the best nights because we knew we could get some sleep and our daughter would be well taken care of. We will miss her!

We cannot say enough amazing things about Mariah! We used her as a night doula for several months. She was truly a godsend for us in our early days with a newborn, and then later on when our infant was going through an awful sleep regression. She is experienced, informed, caring, accomodating and thorough. We were immediately comfortable with her and it was clear that she was happy to support us and our baby. Given her experience with dozens of babies, she was able to provide incredible insight when we came to her with questions. She also didn't hesitate to help us with baby related tasks (e.g. bottle cleaning) that could be done while we were sleeping. She is seriously the best doula ever.

Mariah was a recommendation from our birth doula when we began searching for a postpartum doula. At our request, she came to our house for an afternoon before the baby arrived to help us dig ourselves out of a pile of baby things, organize the nursery, and ensure we had all our basics. That was my first time meeting her in person, and I remember having a lot of fun spending time with her and feeling excited that we hit it off! After a complicated delivery and an unexpectedly longer stay at the hospital due to my birth injuries and due to baby in the NICU, we asked Mariah if she was able to join us at our house during our arrival because we were feeling so disoriented. We arrived home just after she did and she had already started to ensure everything we needed was in good order for us. Unfortunately, not long after bringing baby home, I had to return to the ER, and we were so grateful Mariah was still with us into the evening to help on this difficult day. She has supported us through so many challenging times in those early days but has also been able to share in our joy with every exciting, new development we've experienced with baby. She is truly never judgemental - always loving, kind, and supportive, always willing to lend a listening ear and share experience or ideas when we're in need. She has made us better parents! Baby and dog have come to love her too (even all the grandparents love her!). Mariah has just been such a blessing to us, and we're having a hard time moving on as our extended time together is coming close to an end. We highly recommend Mariah to anyone needing postpartum support and will be sure to bring her back if we decide to expand our family in the future!

Mariah was absolutely incredible with our newborn son. She has so much compassion and patience- even on the hardest nights! We felt so comfortable having her in our home, and slept peacefully knowing our baby was in great care. When our son got bigger, Mariah was instamental helping with sleep training. Shew was always on time and sent comprehensive recap notes each morning. I highly recommend her and would hire her again in a heatbeat!

We absolutely love Mariah and would not be where we are with both kids without her! We've partnered with her for several years and really can't say enough about her work ethic, compassion, and skillset. She goes above and beyond every single day that she is with us. Her knowledge of newborn care was invaluable during the 10+ weeks that she helped us with overnight care. We felt so supported, cared for, and got some much-needed sleep. Waking up to a tidy home, clean dishes, and a calm, comfortable, baby made those early days so much easier for us. We're forever grateful for her expertise and the suggestions she gave us on some health issues that arose early on with our daughter. She turned a very colicy baby into a happy, little, awesome sleeper!
Our toddler also loves spending time with Mariah, and she continues to be our tried and true partner for weekend care, backup weekday care, and date nights. Her experience with kiddos of all ages has helped us prepare (+understand) different stages- she truly is an expert.
Thank you so much, Mariah! We literally couldn't do this parenting thing without you.

We had the privilege of working with Mariah during our journey as first time parents. Mariah’s knowledge is vast and she is a baby whisperer. She made sure we had the information and confidence to make the best decisions for our daughter. During our meetings prior to the birth she advised on bottles, pacifiers, swaddles - in fact everything that we needed to be ready for our baby. She was there when we arrived home from the hospital which was really comforting. We can’t speak highly enough of her professionalism and how much peace of mind she brought us.
Mariah is knowledgeable, dedicated, compassionate, creative, patient, gentle and so very caring. She is non-judgmental of our parenting and took the best care of our daughter. Mariah also provided light housekeeping and assembled baby furniture as well as organized her clothes and room.
We can't speak highly enough of her and how much peace of mind she brought us. She is not only an experienced Doula but also someone who we consider as a friend and so does our daughter. Simply put: book her now!

Mariah is the most wonderful postpartum doula. I cannot say enough good things about her. She provided regular support both during the day and overnight for six months after my son was born. I felt safe and cared for in her presence, and more importantly I felt confident in her ability to care for my son with kindness and skill. Snap her up if you can! You'll be so thankful you did.
