Sam was amazing! I always thought about having a doula during pregnancy but when my clinical experience started becoming negative I didn't trust the recommendation. However, once partnered with Sam things were much easier. She ecouraged me to be practical and trust myself through the process. We had a short time together but she jumped right in and made sure I knew the information needed to made the right decisions for my health and the health of my son. Sam was truly one part of my pregnancy journey that gave me positivity and strength to the day my son came in to the world. I truly appreciate the support and encouragement she provided to advocate for black maternal health. Everyone should have a Sam during pregnancy and postpartum.
