Thanks Gloria for helping us with our pregnancy and birth journey even though the birth didn't go to plan it was good to have you there to help discuss our options as complications came up. And to help encourage and remind of different positions to try. God bless! -Ben & Yolanda

God sent Gloria to us. We hired her as a dual labor doula and birth photographer. We should have arranged for a doula sooner, but even though we booked her later than we would have wished, she was willing, highly communicative, and available - unlike others at that point in time. She is a go-getter entrepreneur, professional, and compassionate.
She is strong (she does strength training)! in our first birth, we needed someone who was strong due to 59 hours of back labor pain. Her strength makes her good at massage too.
The birth of our second child with Gloria was a very quick planned water birth at home of just 1 1/2 hours long. Since she lived 2 hours away, she arrived before my labor started, shortly after I took castor oil to induce, and she set up her battery operated candles, brought her peanut ball, and her other items in our apartment to make a lovely ambiance.
She is adaptable/flexible, with a lot of life experience that helps her connect with a lot of different people. Her adaptability came in handy when we were all shocked that my body was involuntarily pushing already and the midwife arrived 8 minutes after our daughter was born. She juggled talking on the phone with our midwife to give instructions to my husband while taking pictures of the birth. She responded well - calmly and quickly - under the pressure of the situation.
We are very thankful she was here with us!

There is no word to describe Gloria other than amazing. I truly believe I would not have been able to have a successful VBAC if we did not have her support and guidance. She was such a calming and confident presence for me during labor. The immense amount of support and information she was able to provide was unmeasurable. My husband was able to be much more of an active supporter during my labor because of the education she provided him. I am now such a strong believer that everyone who is pregnant should have a doula.
