Post a testimonial for Kristy Sawatzky

I have found Kristy to be empathetic, calm and helpful. She is wonderful with little Elliot. She is able to anticipate his needs, get him to sleep and seems to be comfortable hanging out with him for hours in engaged play - if that's what he and I need that day. Kristy is an excellent cook - I felt so cared for after her first visit and eating a warm, nourishing soup. I would highly recommend Kristy to others seeking someone calm and unobtrusive, sensitive and responsive and someone great with babies and nourishing the mother.

When I began looking for a postpartum doula, Kristy was immediately one of my top choices. From the start, I felt she was the right fit—not only because she could care for my newborn, but also because she could prepare nourishing postpartum meals, which was one of my must-haves. I’m so glad I chose her.
Kristy joined us the day we brought our son home from the hospital and supported us through those precious but challenging early weeks. She quickly became an integral part of our routine, blending seamlessly into our home and showing deep empathy for my needs—especially after my caesarean birth, when mobility was difficult. Her cooking was a source of comfort—meals like her chicken ginger soup felt like a warm hug on cold winter days. Often, she knew what I needed before I even said a word.
Beyond supporting me, Kristy formed a beautiful bond with my son. Watching them together brought me so much joy and reassurance. I trusted her completely, which gave me peace of mind and the rare chance to take time for myself.
Kristy is incredibly organized, clean, punctual, and resourceful. As a first-time mom, I learned so much from her wealth of knowledge and experience.
She was with us for three months, and honestly, I wish it could’ve been longer. She truly became part of our family. I already miss her amazing food—especially her lactation protein balls and oatmeal banana muffins!
If you're thinking of hiring a postpartum doula, don’t hesitate—hire Kristy. It will be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make. Trust me!

My wife and I had the opportunity to use two different postpartum doula's (Kristy being the second one). I got to see first hand the vast differences. Regardless of the number of years of experience(first one had more), Kristy was by far more knowledgeable one and really on top of everything. Always prompt, answered our crazy amount of questions and followed up after. She took the initiative and we didn't have to ask her twice as she would adapt quickly. Most importantly, my wife appreciated her help, was able to lean on her for support, and our baby got along so well with Auntie Kristy. Bonus, her background as a baker came in handy!
Our obstetrician gave us a piece of advice that when deciding on doula's, you need to ensure you chose one that works for/with you and not one that imposes and thinks they know better. Kristy definitely worked with us to ensure the baby and my wife were both looked after. Thank you!

Kristy was our post partum doula for the birth of my first child and I highly recommend her for anyone looking for birth or post partum support.
She started working with us from the first day we brought our daughter home from the hospital and she quickly became such an integral part of our journey into parenthood. Kristy worked with us for over a month and a half and provided both day and night shifts or us.
Kristy is incredibly organized, pro-active, knowledgeable, respectful and above all was so sweet and gentle with our daughter. As a new mother, there is so much you do not know and choosing the right Doula is so important because you are giving over so much trust to someone and welcoming them into your home to help guide you through such a big change in your life. We loved that Kristy was so well rounded in her skill sets (excellent baker, chef, knew which app to reccomend to track our babies activies) and above all she always anticipated what my needs were. Mommy brain is a real thing, and often times she was step ahead in knowing how to help organize our home for to best help serve us. She was always respectful of our extended family in our space, was punctual and is an excellent communicator. If there ever I had a question for her that she didn't have the answer to she was very resourceful in finding the answer. When she wasn't working a shift with us she would often check in on us to see how we were doing which my husband and I appreciated!
We are so glad we met Kristy, are grateful for all of her support and I highly recommend her to anyone else looking for a Doula!
