I'm a second-time parent who wanted to have more control of my birth experience the second time around. Shawanna provided me with a plethora of information I wasn't aware of during my first pregnancy, most importantly, alternate pain management techniques and birthing positions. My goal was to have a natural birth with no epidural, and she helped me achieve this. Shawanna was such a calming presence in the delivery room with me, reminding me to relax my body and breathe right when I needed it. I couldn't have asked for a better doula and support person!
