I have never worked with Cassandra when it comes to birth or postpartum care, but I have worked with her during our volunteer work with the Doulas for All Coalition. 

When I first met Cassandra, she was almost immediately kind, welcoming, and friendly. It wasn't long before I learned that there was more to her than just kind, welcoming, and friendly. It quickly became clear that she is also incredibly passionate about advocacy, whether an issue affects her, or not, she is not afraid to speak up and fight for others. Over the past 3 years that I've known her, I've seen Cassandra work to bring resources to families, educate folks, help bring doula access to pregnant people, put together events to bring resources to rural communities, solve conflict, and foster connection. These are all beautiful traits to have in a birthworker.

I'm proud to have Cassandra as a friend, as a colleage, and as a community member that I can refer clients to when needed.

I decided to look into having a doula at my birth because we couldn't find reliable childcare for our first child. I had a pretty terrible experience with my first birth, I thought there has got to be a better way.  After meeting a few doulas, we decided to go with Cassandra for her wealth of experience and calming presence.  Cassandra checked in frequently prior to the birth and met me at the hospital right away when I got admitted. She kept me informed throughout the whole birthing process and allowed me to make my own choices without feeling pressured or judged. In the end, we met all of our birthing goals and I had a much smoother recovery. I couldn't have done it without her, and I can honestly say that she made me feel very cared for in a stressful and vulnerable time. I highly recommend her to anyone who would like some support during their pregnancy/birth!

Cassandra is the doula that I asked the universe for. She has been a supportive caring doula since the day that I met her. From her great depth of knowledge, to her strength in advocacy, she has embodied the indigenous form of doula. Even when my pregnancy had some medical complications , she stayed by my side. When my infant had colic, she was there to be my village and provide the much needed support. There is not enough words of praise that could convey how much I appreciate and recommend her as a doula.
