I truly don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am for De’Ja and her incredible support throughout my motherhood journey. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, she was there—not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well. She was willing to come to doctor’s appointments with me, helped me prepare questions ahead of time, and was always available afterward to help me process or clarify anything. When it came time for labor, De’Ja was a true anchor, She talked me through each contraction, kept me grounded and calm, and advocated for me in ways I didn’t even know I needed. She practiced laboring techniques with me beforehand, gave me helpful resources, and helped me navigate the emotional side of preparing for birth her presence made all the difference. Even after my son arrived, she didn’t disappear. Her consistent check-ins during postpartum—on both me and the baby—meant the world. Whether it was offering a listening ear or in-person support, De’Ja showed up with compassion, care, and a genuine love for what she does. What stood out the most was her beautifully balanced energy: deeply caring and compassionate but also so authentic, full of personality, and unapologetically herself. One moment that I’ll never forget is the look of pure joy on her face—you could just see how much she truly loves being a doula. I absolutely recommend De’Ja to anyone looking for not just a doula but a true support system, I will definitely be using her again in the future.
