Alicia Walker-Patterson is a dynamic and passionate individual known for her diverse skills as a project planner, organizer, and doula residing in central North Carolina. She wholeheartedly embraces her commitment to fostering collective community improvement through personal and group healing justice and accountability processes. "I am deeply passionate about creating spaces where individuals can freely express themselves, uplift others, educate the next generation on self care and advocacy, establishing sustainable systems that support our elders and peers, prioritize family, embrace herbal arts, and foster working-class solidarity through spreading the knowledge of how to care for the youth of our communities. When people think of me, I want them to feel inspired and empowered to be their authentic selves, and use what they know to contribute to their villages." Alicia is a certified doula, hypnotherapist, and flower healer. Her primary focus lies in plantation traditions and southern-American herbal medicine. Through First Vision Birth and Family Services, she offers a range of services including Birth, Post-natal, Grief and Death Doula support, Placenta Encapsulation, as well as breastfeeding assistance, drawing on her certifications as an SMC and DONA certified doula.
