Genna was my birth doula for my first birth. My husband and I honestly don’t know how people go through their first births (or any for that matter) without someone like Genna! Ahead of the birth of our son, Genna made herself available to me throughout my entire pregnancy to answer any questions about my changing body, or provide advice with different ailments I’d encounter, and also help plan for my upcoming birth. Upon her arrival to the hospital she brought all the supplies which took a lot of things off our personal hospital bag checklist - mood lighting, music, birthing combs, you name it she had it! Our room was transformed into my dream environment. The entire laboring process she provided us coping mechanisms, and had us talking in between making the time pass swiftly. She was extremely knowledgeable and would help explain nurse jargon to us if we had questions. I don’t have any other birth to compare it to, but I left feeling like my birth experience was beautiful and everything I ever hoped for. Genna educated my partner in how to support me as well, so he was involved in the entire day- and Genna put him at ease with his own worries and concerns. We can’t recommend Genna enough and I truly could not imagine my pregnancy and birth without her.

There isn't enough space here to express my gratitude, but here are a couple heart felt words. GENNA.....From day 1, facetime 1, I knew you were the perfect match for me during this incredible journey. How you jumped on the band wagon so late in the game and picked me right up where and when I needed without hesitation. (Yes I waited 36 ish weeks pregnant, to finalize my Doula search) Choosing a doula can be such a strange thing right? We try and find a complete stranger... to be by our side during one of the the most important moments of my life. A personal, intimate, private, sensitive and emotional moment. This was hard. There was no question for me after meeting Genna. Checked in frequently, was there for every text, every call, anytime. Genna was passionate, empathetic, an incredible listener, so caring and showed this in her own actions in her everyday life through her love for her own family and children. This woman is a care giver, some type of super human! She was put on this earth to truly do WORK, angel work, at that. Genna made my first birth experience seamless. Without her by my side, a huge component would have been missing. Thank you a hundred times over, will never be enough for all that you did and still do Genna, for not just me but all the incredible women you support and guide. Thank you for sleeping upright in a chair for me, thank you for being by my side for 34 hardworking, blissful, yet excruciating hours. Thank you for not missing a beat for me even though we pushed the LIMIT with time and making sure you were able to safely and restfully make it to your sons surgery. Thank you for caring for me and for teaching me all of the tips, tricks and knowledge I can now carry with me forever. I am beyond blessed not only to have had Genna by my side for the birth of my son, but for the rest of my life as an incredible friend to confide in, look up to and create memories with! Genna, we love you more than words.

Genna was an incredible asset to my birth team from the very beginning. She's professional, compassionate and very knowledgeable. From the time we met, she answered all of my questions with patience and was always there to offer assurance. She checked in with me frequently in the last weeks of my pregnancy. During my birth, she was an incredible support. She physically held me up during contractions, advocated for my needs and desires that we discussed ahead of time, and worked closely with nursing staff to ensure I was as comfortable as possible during my labor. After my birth, I feel I have gained a close friend in Genna and am so thankful she was a part of my birth story. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!

Genna was so great to work with during my pregnancy and birth. We had a great and easy connection right away. She is so friendly and kind and has such a sweet disposition. During the birth, I couldn't have asked for a better or more helpful person to be there for me and my husband. She helped through almost every contraction, and the ones she didn't - it was because she was encouraging my husband while he helped me through a contraction. She also snapped some beautiful pictures during labor that I will treasure forever. My husband had such a wonderful experience, too, compared to my other births because we had a doula this time & he was so happy that we hired Genna. It was one of the best decisions we made. If I have another baby, we will definitely plan to work with Genna again.

Genna was pulled in to support my birthing journey at the eleventh hour, as I was staring down the barrel of shifting from a desired vaginal delivery towards a scheduled c-section. She was a wonderful sounding board during this transition and provided much needed information and moral support. On the day of the scheduled c-section, Genna was prepared and fully engaged. Leading into the OR, Genna did a great job chatting me up which helped keep me calm and optimistic. She was able to capture amazing photos of the first moments with our new baby. She stood by my side post-delivery, freeing up my husband to stay with the baby. For this, my husband and I are profoundly grateful. To top it all off, Genna surprised us with homemade lactation muffins. That small gesture is emblematic of the thoughtfulness Genna applies towards her doula practice.

My wife and I recently had a child on 5/3/23 and Genna was an amazing resource to have. She was present and available but also like a fly on the wall. Jumped in when needed, with or without asking ( in a good way). She had plenty of tips and tricks and tools to aid in many ways. Having another person available to advocate, and communicating with the medical staff allows the parents to focus on each other and the task at hand. Not to mention all the photos she gently captured (with permission) without being over the top and distracting. 10/10 would recommend.

Genna helped make the birth of my second daughter the most incredible, memorable and comfortable experience I could have imagined. I was extremely anxious and fearful for this labor and birth but Genna helped me from start to finish and made it the best day of my life. She has an arsenal of tools snd techniques that made the environment really comfortable and helped ease my pain and get me through each contraction. She and my husband worked in unison to get me through my entire labor and delivery and I couldn't have asked for a better labor and delivery!
