Nicole was a match made in Catholic doula heaven for us! We hired Nicole around the 2nd trimester, quickly realizing we had no idea what we were doing. She brought us up to speed on her knowledge and expertise of pregnancy, the birth process and postpartum. She asked all the important questions and made sure she knew exactly what we wanted for our birth. We talked about the exciting things but also touched upon the harder topics which we thought was so important incase anything didn't go to plan. We decided at 35 weeks we were going to switch to a home birth and Nicole just went with the flow of things and supported us with every step. During the birth Nicole prayed for us and our beautiful baby girl, set up relics, made the environment peaceful and prayerful and took so many great pictures! She came at 3 am to relieve my husband from intense contractions I was experiencing using different techniques like counter pressure and encouraging me to breath, giving positive affirmations and helping me into different positions. We hired Nicole for postpartum care as well and we are so glad we did! She helped keep the house in order, with dishes, laundry and cleaning so that we could focus on connecting with our baby. Her style of combining her faith with her doula services was the best combination we could have asked for. Thank you Nicole!!!

I had a lot of birth trauma with my first child and Nicole Kristensen was incredibly helpful with helping me find ways to work through that and prepare well for the birth of my second. I am someone who has a VERY low pain tolerance and the preparation she did with me allowed me to get up to 10cm dilated without an epidural! (I planned to go without an epidural as long as I could hold off since it slowed things down with my first)Unfortunately due to things out of everyone’s control, I needed an emergency c section, but I appreciated Nicole’s approach in that scenario and she even met with me postpartum to check in and make sure I was doing well. ??
Definitely hire a doula, you won’t regret it!
