Nicole was an incredible support to me and my husband through two very different birth experiences.

With my first birth, she stayed by my side for hours, offering calm, encouragement, and wisdom. That birth ended with a vacuum because the baby was stuck, but this most recent birth went so quickly that she ran in right after I delivered my baby in less than 20 minutes and just two pushes! The difference was how I had prepared my body this time—and Nicole helped me truly embody the techniques and positions that made labor smoother and more effective.

In the weeks leading up to labor, she helped me stay calm, confident, and grounded when things felt uncertain. She was thoughtful, responsive, and quick to help me know what was really happening. She supported me in making decisions that felt right for me.

Having now gone through two births with her, I can say without hesitation that Nicole is amazing. Her presence, guidance, and faith-filled support make a real difference, and I’m so grateful she was with me through these important moments in my life.

Nicole was my doula for the birth of my first baby and it was a beautiful experience. I was so nervous about giving birth for a very long time and with Nicole's help I was able to educate myself, prepare thoughtfully and surrender the experience. I ended up having a wonderful birth with no complications. Nicole made the environment feel very safe and helped all throughout with prayer, pain management and getting me in the right positions for an ideal birth. Her response times are exceptional and she provides you with so much detailed information for any questions you might have. I highly recommend!!

Nicole was a match made in Catholic doula heaven for us! We hired Nicole around the 2nd trimester, quickly realizing we had no idea what we were doing. She brought us up to speed on her knowledge and expertise of pregnancy, the birth process and postpartum. She asked all the important questions and made sure she knew exactly what we wanted for our birth. We talked about the exciting things but also touched upon the harder topics which we thought was so important incase anything didn't go to plan. We decided at 35 weeks we were going to switch to a home birth and Nicole just went with the flow of things and supported us with every step. During the birth Nicole prayed for us and our beautiful baby girl, set up relics, made the environment peaceful and prayerful and took so many great pictures! She came at 3 am to relieve my husband from intense contractions I was experiencing using different techniques like counter pressure and encouraging me to breath, giving positive affirmations and helping me into different positions. We hired Nicole for postpartum care as well and we are so glad we did! She helped keep the house in order, with dishes, laundry and cleaning so that we could focus on connecting with our baby. Her style of combining her faith with her doula services was the best combination we could have asked for. Thank you Nicole!!!

I had a lot of birth trauma with my first child and Nicole Kristensen was incredibly helpful with helping me find ways to work through that and prepare well for the birth of my second. I am someone who has a VERY low pain tolerance and the preparation she did with me allowed me to get up to 10cm dilated without an epidural! (I planned to go without an epidural as long as I could hold off since it slowed things down with my first)Unfortunately due to things out of everyone’s control, I needed an emergency c section, but I appreciated Nicole’s approach in that scenario and she even met with me postpartum to check in and make sure I was doing well. ??

Definitely hire a doula, you won’t regret it!
