Tonya did postpartum Doula care for our family she helped take care of our son. My wife and I were able to get peace of mind, knowing that he was thoroughly cared for. She was very detailed with writing notes on their time together and keeping us informed throughout the day. She followed and respected all of our directions. As first time parents, I know how stressful leaving your child with a caregiver can be, but I genuinely trusted her care for my son. I would absolutely recommend her for doula services!

My experience working with Tonya during the birth of my first child in 2023 was truly meaningful and I remain deeply grateful for. As a first-time mother, I came into the experience excited and unsure of how things would unfold. While my hope was to have an unmedicated birth, I also learned quickly (with her gentle guidance) that babies come how and when they choose, and that flexibility is just as important as preparation. From the beginning, Tonya was intentional and thoughtful, taking the time to understand my goals, my pain tolerance, and what kind of support I would need. She communicated consistently, met with me in person, walked me through my birth plan, and taught me practical exercises I could use during labor. She even included my husband, equipping him with ways to support me at home and during labor. During labor itself, her presence made a huge difference. After receiving an epidural, I began feeling extremely cold, and it was my doula who stepped in, making sure I had water, ice, and a rotation of warm cloths on my forehead without ever being asked. Tonya anticipated my needs, coordinated with the nursing staff, and filled in the gaps so that my husband could remain right by my side, which meant everything to me. She also supported me physically, suggesting positions when labor felt stalled and advocating for tools like a birthing bar to help move things along. She was calm, kind, nurturing, and steady. A quiet presence in the best sense of the word. Never overbearing, never intrusive, but always there. I felt her support even when she wasn’t speaking. Looking back, I truly believe her kindness, joy, and genuine care shaped my birth experience. I felt supported, seen, and cared for during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. I wholeheartedly recommend Tonya Howe to any expectant mother seeking a grounded, compassionate, and steady presence during birth. I am so thankful for everything she did for our family.

Tonya Howe was my doula in 2023 during my pregnancy with my third child. Words simply cannot express how supportive Tonya was during my entire pregnancy and post partum; From doctors appoinyments to my actual labor and delivery. Tonya was always readily available, and the morning I went into labor SHE WAS ON IT! From the first text I sent her thinking I was in labor to helping me into the shower after giving birth. During post partum she continued to be a great support. I will never forget one morning during a post partum visit I was feeling overwhelemed about getting all of my children ready and myself to go to church. I told Tonya, " I think I'm just going to stay home." She encouraged me to get myself ready and then helped me get the kids ready. Tonya is an amazing doula and has truly been called for this work.

We had an amazing experience working with Tonya! I was feeling overwhelmed during the postpartum period and navigating postpartum anxiety as a new mom. Having the overnight support was a huge game changer - from the beginning, she was calm, knowledgeable and deeply reassuring. Her presence gave me peace of mind - she was very attentive to our baby's needs and shared lots of helpful tips on breastfeeding, etc. If you are a new parent and feeling overwhelmed, having overnight care is truly invaluable. We are so grateful for the care and support she provided to both our baby and our family.
